The player that Messi could have been.
-
Our biggest transfers recently have been Botman, Isak, Bruno and Tonali. All from Europe. No PL experience .

Oh no, not more Minteh chat

Generally agree with you. Harvey Barnes wouldn't necessarily have down as a 'hit' just yet. Would personally say the jury is still out on that one.

But do we actually struggle? Thinking back I don't think we have been that bad.. We got rid of Chris Wood as soon as he wasn't required anymore, for a good fee. ASM was moved quickly. Shelvey was discarded with, as soon as we had some options in midfield. Even in January, we were going to sell Almiron until he refused the move. Recently with Anderson and Minteh, was a farcical situation but got good fees on both occasions.

Expensive and slow lawyers with the paperwork.

That's pretty difficult.. Given Trippier Schar Woodgate Bernard HBA Batty Bruno Robert Isak Shearer

What did Gordon say in his press event to become persona non grata?

Andy Griffin Vs Juventus, was memorable.

He's lost a yard or two.

Hopefully he is already blocked out of the Saudi market, with the Saudi's no longer buying their cast-offs for OTT prices.

I honestly hope that's how it panned out... But I respectfully disagree. To me it's far more likely that it was done at the weekend, with us compromising to help us hit our PSR deadline (if it's factored in?) and we did the joint announcement together this morning. The timing of it, coming fresh off the craziness of the weekend (where it seemed like everyone was being offered around) does tie into that scenario. But hope the figure is leaked and they have paid up £10 million plus. Really hope that.. especially after the way they have acted and lashed out publicly.

Since Rigg and his family held all the cards in the negotiation, would imagine there is quite a low release clause to get him out of there whenever he wanted.
-
We don't know what financial year the settlement figure is included in. It was just the announcement today. And less not forget it was leaked yesterday and they have obviously been working on it the last couple of days. To me the evidence looks like we have relented on the demands, considering the timings and what the club has done over the last weekend.

I would genuinely like to believe that. But, let's be honest in the last 72 hours we have witnessed a panic fire sale. Akin to shoving people out of the door, to find some money. And on their side, they are unwilling to match anyone else's evaluation ie Ashworth and Branthwaite.
-
I can't see Sir Jimmy R paying anything over £5 million, don't think he wants to pay anyone the going rate. No matter who they are. It's likelier that in our PSR panic we relented / compromised on it.
-
I think the club was maybe expecting Bruno to go. They had been preparing all season about a big name leaving.
-
There are probably other impacts that seem from points deduction. It does impact reputation and I'm sure our sponsors or any potential sponsors wouldn't be ecstatic about the news, being non compliant.
-
Club has done pretty well to get the sales done in time tbf. Wonder whether there are any buy back clauses in either.
-
Think we should just be thankful that we have Minteh to sell at the moment. Selling one of the 'purples' would have been more difficult to comprehend.

Calafiori is unreal like. Top finish that too.

To be honest quite like the transfer. Obviously his injury record is horrific. So it's a bit of a gamble. Back when he was being managed by Ancelotti he was one of the best forwards in the PL.
