  1. I know we won't ever find out.. It's just a theory based on not much.. But think before the whole Dan Ashworth episode there had been interest in Casemiro from Saudi teams. And some of their other players as well. But they never signed. Personally would love it to be true. And could partially explain why Dan Ashworth didn't last long there. When INEOS realised how toxic he was, and in the hope it repairs that relationship they sack him - leaving just before for Jan transfer window.
  2. Oh apologies I should have been clearer. I mean in terms of those players being picked up by teams in the Saudi league. Casemiro out of the two I would have thought a Saudi club would have been all over. Was wondering because the relationship between us and Man Utd broke down spectacularly, whether Man Utd has been basically black balled, and no Saudi clubs are willing to pick up their cast offs.
  3. Put this in the not worth a new thread topic. But this might be a better place.. Does anyone think that the Saudis lack of interest in any Man Utd players are possibly due to the Dan Ashworth fallout? Could partly be the reason why he was swiftly moved on? Would have thought they would be interested in Rashford, Casemiro, etc.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

To be fair there isn't anything to talk about other than Rashford and Walker.

    sunderland

Probably anticipating a sale of Bellingham or Rigg.
  7. This is one of my favourite ever posts on the forum in recent times. So glad we didn't panic and sack this guy when we had been decimated with injuries last season.
  8. If Ipswich win tonight and Wolves win tomorrow then Everton will be sitting in the bottom 3 with 17 points. All hypothetical obviously, but should results go that way then Man Utd can't be comfortable with their total of 22. I wouldn't mind seeing them sack Almorim very early on. I think he's a top coach, that will do well for them giving time. Hope he doesn't get that.
  9. Was always going to be difficult. Reacted really well to the early goal. Thought they mixed their game up really well with longer balls bypassing our midfield. Second half, Joelinton was miles off it. Didn't really understand the substitutions and why we waited so long. Hope Eddie is asked about that. Great 3 points though.
  10. What is wrong with Gordon's eyes?
  11. The years of beatings we have suffered at OT makes me very weary. I think it's going to much, much harder than some people realise.
  12. Every team and manager goes through ups and downs.. even Ancelotti and Pep. It's how they respond to the times when there are difficulties right? And Eddie has always responded. Would take a hell of a manager to adequately replace this guy.
  13. Was he on gardening leave for longer than his actual time with Man Utd?
  14. Isn't the obvious answer is the squad is stale. It had no investment in the summer. We also have players which should have been moved on along time ago now. Transfer window was chaotic. The background changes were chaotic. It all adds up.
  15. Poor Sandro? We stood by him for his suspension
  16. I keep looking at the table and thinking we should have 5 more points - from the Brighton and the Everton game. Conveniently forgetting how lucky we were at the start of the season.
  17. TBF his grandson died and he had some leave to deal with that.
  18. Really hope Wolves win this
  19. The last three games we have created many greats chances and just haven't scored them. Arguably our best player, Isak being guilty of many of them spurned unfortunately. Don't really see how Howe could be personally blamed for those results. One could easily argue should have won the last 3 games based on our chances. That would have left us in 3rd and sitting pretty.
  20. This place is astounding sometimes. Losing Eddie Howe would be a major step back.

    Tosin Adarabioyo

Would imagine the location as well being a huge factor.
  22. That's shit news. Hoping he gets back fully healthy again.
  23. It's certainly possible. Personally I doubt it though and the only reason being is when Saudi were spending huge money on players such like Ruben Nerves and Mitrovic, I thought along the same lines as you, and they were deliberately inflating all the transfer fees so when it came to purchasing our cast offs they could justify it easier. But that never materialised. Although we sold ASM that summer we certainly didn't get an inflated fee.
