I was pleased with the appointment, of Sam Allardyce. Although I had doubts about signing Joey Barton at first it makes sense as long as behaves, he is a canny good player and potentially a brilliant signing. The thing I have most been pleased about with Big Sam is his proactive approach to the transfer market. The last manager took too long to identify targets. I'm also pleased with the confidence that is around this board and Newcastle in general, although in part that is down to the takeover as well, it was there before Ashley turned up. Keep it up Sam.

I agree with you. It's highly unlikely we won't get injuries, even minor ones, and competition = motivation. If we are going to compete with the top clubs, it's exactly what we need. Compete?! A subject that has been raised recently on another forum I post on is this - if we buy 2 more central defenders - Ben Haim and Rozehnal have been mentioned, then what will happen to Steven Taylor and his development? Will this make him unhappy so he wants to leave? Is it a good idea to buy 2 more central defenders who will effectively be better than him at this stage of his development? What do you think? Personally I think we need to replace the ones who have left - Bramble, Moore and Gooch, and I think that Steven Taylor is still young and has a lot to learn, and that competition for places is a good thing. Another suggestion that has been made is that Sam Allardyce might have a different formation in mind, like 3 at the back with wing backs... not sure about that, but it is possible, it has been mentioned about Dyer as right back, and getting Leighton Baines. Anyway, everyone will probably have a different opinion on this, so what do you think? Is buying 2 new more experienced central defenders a good thing or not? Will it affect Taylor's development etc? Will he decide to leave in January if we do get both targets? The most important thing is the team isn't it?

Bloody hell. (Am i gonna be whooshed?) Not really. I know it's only messing around and to be expected on a football forum but it annoys me that just about every single female member on this forum is focused on as soon as they make a post, generally not so much for what they have to say, but for the fact that they're, well, female. I'm sure the majority don't mind but I reckon it puts some females off posting here. The old 'good guy' chestnut! 'If I stick up for these girls and pretend to care and have absolutely no interest in them whatsoever, maybe they'll notice me and like me!' It works! I fell for it!

We have Google ads, pay nowt, want to move away from ads plastered on the site, never been a fan of them. The film site is not part of N.O, just my hobby site which I plug on N.O, that will be removed soon as well. Fair enough. I agree that ads don't look very good - I just hear a lot about google ads how some people make good money from them though? Probably all made up anyway. lol.

I can't promise anything like that, but I could help out with the site if you needed any help. Have you looked into google adwords HTT? You might be able to generate some revenue through that. I also think you should make the Films on TV site more prominent from the main site, because it is a very useful site. You don't seem to have any advertising on there do you? Unlike .com for example.
