Apparently we need £6m before 30th June to avoid ffp issues, a bit like forest on a smaller scale. I reckon that'll be the agreed amount mid June.
Prefer to take the 4pt deduction. Where has the needing 6m come from though? Don't remember seeing that anywhere.

Also in that article, congratulations to Mark Gillespie on the 12-year contract. Contracted until he's 44. lol

Good video, but who has ever said the Villa goal was a cross? I think the bloke has just made that up.

Haven't seen that, maybe I should've checked it more thoroughly first before making the comment. Surprised to see Tottenham also having this amount of losses.
Yeah, there were actually reports that they had to sell before the end of June or they'd be in PSR trouble and were looking to sell Jacob Ramsey. I can only presume that is a nonsense though.

Man U transfer listing their entire squad apparently, with the exception of Garnacho, Hojlund and Marino.
So basically any of the ones you’d actually want to buy.
Dan Marino?

I think it's a little unclear if it's as well as or in place of. At first I thought it was as well as, but a few places seem to think it's in place of it. Such as Kieran Maguire. Obviously there are the UEFA rules as well which would need to be complied with when in Europe, but the punishment on those seems less of a deterant.

We can still hunt Spurs down so I'm hoping for the opposite.
No we can't. There is no world where we win all four and Tottenham fail to win at least two.

The own goal was from his corner too right? I know it's not an assist but still created the goal. Could have had another if he didn't kick the turf when squaring to Isak.

Onana > Pope
Dalot < Trippier
Maguire > Botman
Varane < Schar
Shaw > Burn
Mainoo > Longstaff
Bruno > Joelinton
Casemiro < Bruno
Rashford < Gordon
Garnacho > Barnes
Hojlund < Isak
pretty even imo
Pope is better than Onana, Botman is better than Maguire. You've been a bit selective with how you've matched up players in midfield. The combined midfield would be Bruno, Bruno & Tonali or Joelinton. Not sure about Barnes v Garnacho.

Isn't it reported that Isak, and several other players, have clauses that reduce their pay if we don't qualify for champions league? The new contract for Isak was reported as being in response to this. Could be that the club see the pay reduction as a good opportunity to convince Isak to extend and protect our prize asset, plus keep him happy. 'Extend one year and your at won't drop' situation?

We know what the differences are though - they’re not a secret.
Isn't there a big difference in the 3 year loss we can make though? This year we had to balance our two losses of nearly 60m and so has to make a right 10m profit. Assuming we've made that 10m profit this year, next season we could take another nearly 60m loss and still be within PSR for three year losses. Anything the new 70% roles don't come in for next season, which they're not meant to.

No Olise for Palace
Lol. Can't believe my post about him not lasting 10 days without getting injured came true.

So same shit then basically.
I mean it's a rule that only negatively affects the big 6, so that's a change.

Does this mean that any club can spend the same maximum amount? As in not linked to revenue?
I might reading it wrong, but I think it's alongside it. So you're stuck to 70% revenue, but also for those clubs earning much more, they can only spend 5 times the lowest earner.

Based in his time at Palace where admittedly he was a 10, he's definitely got it in his lockers.
I'm not basing too much on what we're seeing at Chelsea, he's been in a few roles and in a side which just isn't performing at all. We should know better than anyone how you can't judge a player when the team as a whole I'd poor.
Put him in the situations Longstaff finds himself in and I'd back him to score over Longstaff.
I might be wrong, but I think his goals at Palace all came really really early in his time there and then he didn't score much at all in the second half of the season. Either way, across the length of his career it seems like a purple patch.
He's obviously not a bad player, but I would be surprised to see him start ahead of Joelinton Bruno Tonali.

We had similar views about Gordon and were completely wrong about him.
He's quick, strong, technically very good, has an eye for a goal but on top of that, his pressing is second to none and his ability to win duels further up the pitch is one of those indirect variables that have a significant impact on our overall gameplay.
We conceded so many this season, not because our defence was in dissaray or poorly organised but because we weren't able to press as effectively in the middle.
Not sure he has much of an eye for goal. He averages 1 in 10.

It's 8 in 22 overall which is 1 in 2.78, but yeah fair enough I didn't see 'in the Premier League', which is a bit of creative accounting imo, no need for it.
I personally only really ever look at league. All comps can pad heavily with rubbish teams. Of course Wilson's record is even better than 1 in 2 when you consider half his appearances are from the subs bench.

Well seeing as we aren't finishing 5th I don't really give a shit.
You're right! Let's catch Villa and finish 4th.

You can't blame Froggy for thinking PSG deserved the win because of all the chances they created. He hasn't seen his keeper make a save all season.

I prefer the one before that to be honest. I’m not keen on the 70’s style bubble writing, or with the C being upside down.
Is the C meant to be a reference to the cities bridges or just stylistic?

0% chance we'll have three strikers of the calibre of Isak, Sesko & Guirassy next season. I'm not sure there is another team in the league with three strikers at that level.
Wilson out and Guirassy in would be a slightly risky, but potentially smart move.
-
I don't think we can catch Tottenham, but I do think 10 points from our last six, given who we're playing, is a little pessimistic. We've picked up 10 from our last 5 which included Chelsea and Tottenham.
Edit: and if you have Man Utd down to beat us, then I don't think 10 points will be enough for 6th either.

They've got there best players back, Olise and Eze, definitely a different proposition with those two.
Match is in 10 days. Not sure Olise can survive that long without getting injured.

Nothing at all. But it wouldn’t count towards FFP - which of course what matters. The regs state which income streams are counted in the assessment, and which aren’t.
What if we loaned 1 million to PIF and they paid it back with 1000% interest?

Aren't the rumours that you guys are looking the hire the guy sacked by Bayern for failing to win the Bundesliga? Not sure Ten Hag will walk it.
