Could Thauvin and Ayew play in the same team? Have seen Thauvin play (very good in my opinion) but have not seen much of Ayew. Is Thauvin better? They are totally different, Thauvin is more like Ben Arfa but with mature decision making and Ayew is a winger with good off the ball movement. Both could play in the same team yes but as if we would buy both Naturally I meant Marseille - not us!

Poyet seems dreamy when compared to Pardew and the horrible possibility of JFK. I don't think Pardew would ever resign but may get the push if we continue to struggle. Perhaps the only reason he is still here is the fact he has seven years left on his contract and does not mind being Ashley's puppet.

I don't think Crystal Palace would be daft enough to appoint him if they sack Holloway. In fact we should do a swap with them now as Holloway is a better manager than Pardew!

Not sure but there were quotes from Owen Coyle about how he would be a good signing. I don't think we can even consider this at the moment with the squad being as it is.

Losing Krul would have a much deeper impact than selling Cabaye. Hopefully it is rubbish and just paper talk.

You can't compare Cabaye to someone like Rob Lee but he is the best we have had in several years. Just hope we get it settled ASAP but knowing this lot it will drag and drag until we get what we want which might be over £20m. Only desperate clubs on deadline day might be tempted at the figure we want meaning we could get stuck with an unhappy and probably unpopular player. Ashley won't care about the timing though - water off a duck's arse to him as someone memorably said.

Looked at the line-ups - Valenciennes have no-one of interest although there are several in Marseille's team - Ayew, Gignac, Payet (probably not possible as just transferred), Valbuena (hope not due to the dissing he gave us) and N'Koulou.

Two games with no shots on target - not many teams can say that. Hope he is not aiming for a hat-trick against the Shrimps on Wednesday.

I very much doubt he will play. Lost a lot of respect for Cabaye but you just know we will flog him (I wish literally!) too late and won't have time to invest the proceeds. A dream scenario for MA.
