The sly dog is probably curious to see what 'this months group of girls' are like.
  6. We are spending 'minimal' money. This Otemendi deal was never a goer.
  7. Giving him three (?) year deal if that was the rational for buying him was lunacy. We've got him now and we're paying him. What harm 20 mins here and there? If we have the luxury of being able to play a dud for 20 minutes here and there, fair enough. I think we're going to need all the minutes we've got this season. I suspect the days of being 3-0 up and coasting after half an hour that we enjoyed last season are over. I agree - but we've not (at present) got many other options. Ideally I'd like us to buy a new decent quick striker and Lovenkrands be our 'impact' player. I'm not convinced that is going to happen and we'll have to us ethe resources we can caall upon. Like it or not, Best is one of those resources and, rather than let him rot, I'd like to give him the occasional chance.

  9. He keeps on giving the media their soundbites though (I like his honesty by the way)
  10. True - but 'we' bought him and gave him a long term contract so there are some obligations Yes and God knows why but our obligation starts and ends at his payslip. Might as well give him try seeing as we're paying him though? Eh, why? In an emergency when he's all we have, yes. He should be way way down the pecking order though. AS we're paying him£x a week and the guy who bought him is still in charge. I think he's s**** too and would rather we peddled him - but i'd hope dthat the days of lads idling on overblown salaries whilst never kicking a ball had ended with Xisco. So you'd rather we used him for the sake of it to the detriment of the team? I'd rather we hadn't bought him in the first place. But Clipboard must have seen something in him and he hasn't had much of a chance to prove what that soemthing was as yet. So I don't think that there is much harm in giving him the odd 20 mins to show what he might have.

Is it fair to say he's ran/run it fairly well then? Not really. Debt has spiralled under him despite no investment in the playing squad or stadium. I'm confused as to how it's even possible (where's it all gone?!) but that's what's happened. I think he must just run the club that poorly and unprofessionally (perhaps summed up by this Gosling fiasco ). The only decent thing he's done is build a new training ground but even that has been sold to property investors and we lease it back. imo our increased fortunes are solely down to having a great manager in Moyes which papers over the cracks off the field. Going way off topic now though so I'll leave it there It's interesting though mate - so indulge us? What are the debt levels like and how much do you tend to spend (net) per yeaar on transfers?

i'll admit to a lack of detailed knowledge - but someone is keeping that manager and purchasing good players. Whoever is reponsible you still don't know you're born. It's all relative you see?
  18. Just shows what we could do with even a moderate cash injection and a bit of ambition

There's plenty of people moaning about the club f***ing up as well. Evertonians don't need much of an excuse to whinge about Kenwright and co. Trust me. Chooses top manager, buys decent players and manages to keep most of them at club. Don't know their born
  20. But 14m more for West ham
  21. Stoke seem to have a bit of wedge actually, where is it coming from? Least of all him, he's ok in patches, but bobbins much of the time
  22. In the Beehive according to Paully, and on the way to us a/c to some Rangers posters on their boards
