  1. Next you'll be telling me that we were in for him but have turned our attentions elsewhere
  2. erm 3rd choice then surely! Weirdly, no. On reflection, it'd probably be James > Green > Hart. Weirdly indeed
  3. Maybe - my point is that WE won't be spending anywhere near that on anyone and one of our main rivals is. He'll improve them, no doubt, and it doesn't look like we'll keep up with other teams squad improvements.
  4. For the reported £7.5 million I'd be staying well clear. Good player though and he/ Doyle won't do their chances of staying up any harm
  5. Skysports.com understands Wolves are closing in on a deal for Burnley striker Steven Fletcher. Bit of a worry that they are making (or are closing in on) good signings whilst we stand still. I'm not usually a pessimist but my confidence fore next season is ebbing away rather

    U23s & Academy

There are some points I think are wrong C'mon then, spill
  7. Heard loads & still here the odd black c*** remark when Shola f***s up. Not saying it's acceptable, because of course it isn't, but in those instances "black" is used to describe him, with c*** being the actual insult, and the insult is being issued purely for footballing reasons and nothing to do with race. It's like calling Le Tissier a big nosed t*** or Dennis Wise a midget prick. No it's not
  8. Then of course you get the classy refrain of 'town full of.....' from the odd loon member of our away support. Glad to say that it usually gets shouted down though
  9. Sullivan in particular is a real publicity seeker. It clearly isn't going to end well

    Our Forwards

A loan to the 2nd tier with regular starts would do ranger the world of good. Long term he looks to have many of the attributes needed to do well.

    Our Forwards

When all is said and done I think that there is consensus on the view that we need someone to complement Carroll. That player would ideal be quick and a good finisher. (And cheap!)
  12. The 16 team tournament is the optimum number for me. As has been stated above, you get less poor games than in the WC. 24 would dilute the quality too much.

    Our Forwards

I apprecaite that Shola is a decent finisher and that he has a knack of scoring goals. But I have never seen him as tidy or accurate. Indeed i'dgo as far as to say that if we go into the seasn with him as a front line striker we are in big trouble. I like the lad (previous criticism aside) but sadly he isn't quite up to it. I like the look of Carroll and think Ranger has potential. We need a real 'top notcher' though if we are looking to survive.

    Our Forwards

Don't mind him either really, although my heart wouldn't be broken if we let him go. Handball, offside, needless push, handball, offside, needless push, goal, handball, offside, needless push x10
  15. This was a lame attempt at irony by the way (disclaimer)
  16. Hadn't seen it anywhere else
  17. They look like training tops. That's why i quite like them. Nice, clean designs without being too busy.
  18. A lot of soundbites from Clipboard Chris at the minute. Wonder when he'll be off on his hols?
  19. I'm looking forward to seeing how he manages win the top tier this time. In my view this would be the very worst tiome to cash in our chips on him. We've waited 2 years for him to adapt and we might just be about to reap the rewards.

    Club statement

I know this is obvious - but it would be capital outlay (according to all definitions), but not 'new' outlay if the 13m we recive in all this summer is invested in players. Kind of like a deferred sell to buy.
  21. I wouldn't. He is really poor positionally.
