No revisionism from me. I always liked his character and personality and thought he would function well as a hard worker, pressing from the front, but ultimately too one-footed and erratic to really succeed. What did I know? A bit of proper coaching and confidence and, although he'll always be a bit one-footed, he's been outstanding and developed a brilliant relationship with Bruno and others. Love the lad, huge part of what we're doing this season.

While I generally agree with that, and that we're just starting to really improve on that aspect of our team play, it's worth recalling that if Bruno knocks that chance in the bottom corner (or dummies it to Jow, who finishes), we're talking about one of the great team goals in the club's history.

What an embarrassing failure Gerrard has been. Could argue he was hamstrung by injuries a little this year, but the complete lack of anything resembling a game plan or any resilience at all from those players, just proves he has no coaching ability and they're not playing for him at all. Only one way this goes.

That was probably the only game where EH got it tactically completely wrong. Either that, or the players simply failed on the day to execute his actual plan. It's only a few months ago but already light years from where we are now with our preparation, fitness and team organization/harmony.
