  1. This is going to end up being one of the least impressive and dullest title campaigns in living memory. No excitement, average football, no tension. Current Liverpool side not a patch on any of the recent title teams and certainly not in the same league football-speaking as their heyday teams in the late 70s and early 80s.
  2. Went to a Celtic v Rangers game January 1990. It was an incredible experience, very intimidating in that era. Edit - had to check my old tickets, it was actually January 88. Celtic won 2-0. Paul McStay was fantastic.
  3. I believe Chelsea and QPR have a thing (maybe more on the QPR side) and years back, Chelsea and Fulham given the proximity. Brentford are so recently in the PL, there's not much there but not speaking from experience like.
  4. It's undoubtedly geographically-speaking a derby but in terms of history and enmity, it's about as much a derby as Rochdale vs Blackburn
  5. If Madrid want him (might be a few years away given the depth of talent they have in midfield Camavinga, Tchouameni etc), they'll have already had some informal chats with his agent about running down the old contract. They're not exactly known for paying huge transfer fees. We need to be very clever with contractual stuff of our blue chip players. Juve being linked to him is lols.
  6. Think those outside the club are only just starting to cotton on to how good he is. He'll be the next one relentlessly linked with moves away in the media, desperate to derail our progress. He has the lot and is only getting better, his trajectory and potential are sky high. As good as he was for Milan and often is for Italy, we're only seeing the beginning, Howe will unlock even more.
  7. Can only assume that's because of Rogers' chance (the only one I really remember) which was almost gilt-edged and most of Forests whistled past the post or hit woodwork from range. One of those times XG just does not tell the same story your own eyes do imo.
  8. Speaking about today over a full game, not their season which has been good. 5 consecutive wins prior, I expected more quality and control from them, Forest dominated that for an hour
  9. Yep, think Forest get around 70 points, 3 winnable home games and a couple of away games where there's 4-6 there for them.
  10. Not all that impressed by Villa like, especially since that was their 6th win in a row. They were really good for 25 minutes, got 2 goals while Forest were all over the shop, then had to rely on luck, good keeping and the woodwork to not lose by 2 or 3. Nothing to fear when we play them away if we setup right and are on it.
  11. Gutsy side Forest, more impressed by them in defeat today than i've been watching them win sometimes this year
  12. Forest pay the price for a terrible opening 20 minutes when they were all at sea, deserved at least a point
  13. Good game, fun watch, especially second half
  14. How have Forest not scored like 5 goals!? Incredibly poor finishing I suppose
  15. Amazing there's only 3 goals in this, should be about 3-3
  16. Draw would be about perfect, don't need Villa winning 6 in a row
  17. Wayne Hennessy sitting there. Been in the game about 20 years and probably only made about 250 appearances total.
  18. Life in this yet, could easily be level by now, Villa haven't been up to much after the early goals
  19. "foul by Yates"...you don't say
  20. Our win at their place, when you consider going a goal down and how tough they can be to break down with a lead, probably one of the results of the season by any side
  21. Could well be, still think they're going to get around 70 points with the home games they have (plus Spurs and West Ham away, there's points there) so we'll have to win most of our games, very tough
  22. Looks lost in this setup, even Yates can't get close enough to kick and foul like usual. Emery doing a number on them, they still carry a counter threat though
  23. Too many winnable home games left for it to be realistic imo. Everton, Leicester and Brentford. You'd think that's 7 pts minimum
