  1. Quite probably aye. Let’s hope so anyway
  2. Realistically I think that would get us at the table and at 150m it would become hard to reject. I love Isak as much as anyone, but while we are not at the very top yet our owners will need to wheel and deal to get there under this wretched financial “fair” play system the powers that be have got going on.
  3. CL you’d have thought. Our best players will get itchy feet if we cannot show real progress year on year, and I doubt anything but CL will cut it for next season.
  4. Our players attracting attention from other big clubs is a good thing. It means we’re doing something right. Doubt they can afford what we’d want for him anyway, but part of growing this club in these PSR times is undoubtedly selling when player’s value is at their highest. In the case of Isak though, I don’t think we’ve reached that point yet, considering his age and potential.
  5. He's been good when he's played. You can't overlook the fact he's been unavailable for the majority of his time, his price tag, resale value and the fact it wasn't a priority position when evaluating the transfer though...
  6. Don't think that is fair. It was evident that Kudus was a very good player and that Barnes at the price we paid was not some massive bargain. On top of that Kudus plays in a position we needed to strengthen whereas Barnes was more a squad depth addition. I think many people at the time would have preferred to see the Barnes money go to someone capable of holding a first team right wing place, like Kudus.
  7. Thank God for this thread title
  8. For 40m it's a no brainer evidently, providing it allows us to get one or two genuinely quality additions in (DCL, Trafford and Kilman don't strike me as signings that will allow us to reach the next level).
  9. Samuels and Ratcliff can both fuck off. For years they (their club in Ratcliff's case) have actually defended this sorry state of affairs.
  10. Kylian Mbappe is not PL proven whereas Paul Dummett is. Surely you can't hold it against a 19-year old who has not been part of a PL squad that he isn't PL proven if you can also consider his stats on their own merit?
  11. I choose not to believe this one. Well done for jinxing it with its own thread Strawberry
  12. I choose not to believe this one. Well done for jinxing it with its own thread TP
  13. I'm not concerned with VAR's remit, but if that wasn't a clear and obvious error, then I don't know what is. Meanwhile VAR is being used to cancel perfectly good goals
  14. To reverse those bookings, and perhaps tell the ref to go and take a shower to be replaced by someone competent?
  15. Ah well, would have taken a point beforehand but the manner in which it happened sucks, for the disallowed goal and the mediocre play going forward…
