Watched a Valencia 1-5 Real Madrid game there a couple of years ago. Very steep stairs but a very nice feeling to the stadium, had a really good time before and after the game. I was there for a 0-2 loss v Barcelona (Ronaldinho and Etho'o if memory serves). Loved the ground, hated the racism of their fans.

That is strange logic Can I just clear this up, are you saying players should compete for headers with one foot on the ground? I'm just questioning Shearer's strange logic that the "law" is that any challenge where the player has two feet of the ground is a straight red. The challenge/foul needs to be contextualised as always, and if that had been done that Yacob foul would never have resulted in a straight red.

Definitely offside imo I don't understand how. Fat Sam was on about it being a block, not a pass. How does that work? A deflection from an opposition player cannot play the player offside anyway. The question is was it offside at the time of the shot, and it obviously wasn't as he wasn't interfering with play. The ball broke to him through a deflection, tough luck I would have said.
