  1. What are you laughing at Beren? Pardew has put our club doctor to work on finding a cure for ebola. Surely that can only be a good thing?
  2. The writing. Well yes, maybe he is using his job as a cover for the brilliant articles he writes for sackpardew.com, which he runs with Anal Oliver.
  3. The window licker sticking the boot in now as well: http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/nigel-worthington-showed-class-week-7946957
  4. Didn't you think we were honourable losers when we were played of the park by European powerhouse Southampton a few weeks back?
  5. "I don't think it's about calming down. We haven't won a game yet and Newcastle United need to win. "We are paid to win games, not to draw games or be honourable losers, so we need to win and therefore the pressure is very much on me and the team. We shouldn't shirk that. "It's not easy at the moment, there have been easier times. When you are winning, things can fall into place. Where we are right now when you're fighting for every result, it makes it difficult and stressful. "I've enjoyed, I'd say, 80 per cent of it, most of it has been pretty good. The most important is where we are right now. We are desperate for a win and I really want to deliver it on Saturday."
  6. Why aye, have you not seen our momentum lately?
  7. How about this for an article title: http://www.durhamtimes.co.uk/sport/11540605.Let__39_s_hope_the_international_break_has_not_halted_momentum_at_Newcastle__ndash__Middy__39_s_Magpie_Musings/
  8. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/6004739/Alan-Pardew-International-break-a-God-send.html That title. Such a shame the break is over, huh Alan?
  9. I don't see what's baffling about including players whose wages the club continue to pay and whom they have sent out on loan to other clubs by their own volition. These players could have been used if we wanted to. If what you're saying is these players are the difference between having a squad capable of challenging for Europe and one capable of upper half at best it just goes to show how morronic the club are for loaning them out.
  10. Needs more time. Isn't used to our football. Doesn't track back. Not big enough. Too fat. Is a weirdo etc etc etc ... pardew was bigging him up so much when he first came as well. I'm losing my mind over this guy I swear. He's abhorrent “He’s a player who has been on our radar for a while and he is a marquee signing for us,” said Pardew. “He represents for us all Newcastle fans love in a player. “He has flair, but also real hard work and commitment. He will bring talent to St James’s Park I hope our fans really enjoy. “He’s got great ideas when the ball comes to him and along with Siem [De Jong] he can improve an area where we definitely needed some help. It’s part of a rebuilding process and a big part of it. “A lot of work has gone into his signing and I’d like to pay tribute to my staff, in particular Graham [Carr] and myself, Lee [Charnley], Mike and everyone on the board. We’ve worked really hard on this and he’s a player we think is important, which is represented in the fee and represented in his commitment to us. I’m just looking forward to seeing an exciting talent.”
  11. “Papiss looks rejuvenated and there is a bit more enthusiasm in him. “We’ve been missing his quality and he’s very important.” “Emphasis will be on us to break Leicester down. “But not leave ourselves open to the counter-attack. “We have to be wary of that.” “The most important thing is that we win the game on Saturday. “We need to for the fans and the whole club. I hope we get it.”
  12. This is NEVER a top six team. Top half at a (very hard) push. One striker, one centre half barely worth the name, no creative midfielder. Give over. A good manager would have this lot (including the loanees) top half easily, and challenging for Europe depending on other teams slipping up or not.
  13. We have shipped out Ben Arfa and Marveaux on loan, brought in Cabella as a replacement and we have Obertan starting games
  14. Lee Ryder @lee_ryder · 28s 28 seconds ago Tim Krul, Daryl Janmaat and Paul Dummett all fit to face #lcfc #nufc Lee Ryder @lee_ryder · 1m 1 minute ago AP press conf: "The most important thing is that we win the game on Saturday. We need to for the fans and the whole club. I hope we get it."
  15. Call me deluded then, because I am one of those who believes a club the size of Newcastle United should be challenging for European football (i.e. top 6) every year. I readily accept that we might not meet that target every year, but to aim lower in the belief that we cannot hope to compete is unacceptable to me. The lowering of expectations ever since Ashley's second year in charge (in his first year he summoned Keegan to London for daring to suggest the top five might be out of reach) to the point where the majority of our fans are now afraid to say they believe that this club should be able to compete at that level really irks me. The reality is not that we cannot compete at that level, it's that we choose not to, which is massively different. For a club this size it wouldn't even need massive outside investment to be there or thereabouts either. Just reinvesting the money the club brings in on good players and better coaches/facilities, growing commercial and matchday revenue appropriately (at least on a par with other clubs our size) to pay for this and appointing a proper manager capable of playing a brand of football that gets results and attracts fans and sponsors would go a massive way towards achieving this. Don't let anybody ever tell you otherwise.
  16. Unbelievable

    Papiss Cissé

Senegal have conceeded at the death. Tunisia going top of their group. Cisse subbed off at around the 80 minute mark.
  17. It will be turned on the fans for being negative. Without a doubt
  18. Is his pre match presser tomorrow? Can't wait to see what he has to say this time.
  19. Is this a top 6 team? He said pushing for top 6, and I think that this squad plus the likes of Ben Arfa, Marveaux and Yanga Mbiwa shouldn't necessarily be far from that level if used correctly <- therein lies the main problem.
  20. Leicester (h) Spurs (a) Liverpool (h) West Brom (a) QPR (h) West Ham (a) Burnley (a) Chelsea (h) Arsenal (a) Sunderland (h) Man U (a) Everton (h) before we start with the reverse fixtures We'll be lucky to be on 10 points if we don't beat Leicester, it's that bad. Edit: these fixture lists are allowed nowadays, aren't they?
  21. I'm starting to fear for our and my own mental health now. The sad thing is that the masses will lap up all this PR bullshit. We are fucking doomed as a football club.
