Tried to score with his arse. The highlight of the half, by far.
-
If he missed the 4 defenders he usually aims at it was probably a bad shot. Aye, he was nowhere near them. Sinclair has looked decent for Chelsea, made some good runs/movement.

Quite the dreary looking night at the Bridge.

It should be, but it ain't!!
-
Was that a good save or a bad shot by Lampard?

Talk about touching a sore spot.

Why does kev get more stick than you? I know you're just a young lad, but you're twice the mong he is. Who is Charlies? When did Viduka become shit? Please answer with the caps lock off, as your answers are surely enough to sting my eyes without having to pretend you're yelling at me. Anyhoo, on to the Derby match. 3pts and a convincing win (I'd settle for just a win) to atone for the disaster that was called football at their park. I'll go with the same line-up as Smith seems to be much more effective at St. James. Martins needs a good goal from open play to get his confidence back up. 3-0, Smith, Viduka and Martins.

Just watched the short delay replay of Wigan Vs. Blackburn. What a match of football! Some brilliant goals.

Hard to use pace when you get f*** all in the ways of service, mate. Even when he does though, he generally doesn't play to his strengths. He should be a threat to knock the ball past his man and get don the wing, but I really don't recall him ever running at a full-back, ever. He's always trying to pick a clever pass or do something fancy, which he's simply not very good at. Headless chicken of the highest order tbh. Harsh to say that from this game, but yes, he does over compensate quite often. Play the ball on the deck and run at the opposition is where Martins could thrive. He keeps wanting to drift into the center, like he would in a 4-4-2. If he stays out a little wider in the 4-3-3, he could find the space to run onto something. I dunno, it's frustrating, because there is much more of him than we're seeing at the mo. Is his english very good? Cause he doesn't seem to communicate at all to the other defenders. He and Beye had that cock up mid-way through the 2nd half that sent Healy through, I believe.

Hard to use pace when you get fuck all in the ways of service, mate.

Very debatable if you ask me.. How exactly? Smith knocks the ball away, the man dives in and gets nowhere near the ball and takes Smith out. But it was his birthday! Not a very happy one, at that.

I agree, why the fuck can't Smith come off? Is Martins movement that bad that he couldn't get on any of The Dukes flicks? Smith did win the pen to his credit.

While i hate Man Utd myself, i can't help thinking your views are magnified because you happen to follow their Derby rivals. If Man city played in Rome most of your lot would want to go. Each travelling fan must accept they go at their own risk, but they can't be criticised for following their team. As for the Man U fans going looking for trouble, you may be right, but you can't know that. No ground in Europe should be a no-go area. Trouble finds those looking for it, simple as. There were a few thousand other Mancs that managed not to get shanked. I'm with Specky on this one. Eh? Do you also mean that a granny who gets mugged on the street 'must' have deserved it as a few other thousand granny's didn't get robbed? Nothing like taking something completely out of context and adding it's irrelevance to an argument. I'm assuming those stabbed weren't using a fucking cane to get to the match. Anyways, it's a shame it happened, but I've read owt that says this was a random attack completely unprovoked. Words were exchanged and those Hooligans looking for trouble, found it.

I thought outside of Bangkok, it was ladyboy central?

As much as I love Bobby, he's got to give up the grudge. Put it in the past, Sir Bobby and walk away from football, mate. Enjoy the rest of your life as one of the best we've had. Regardless, he is and always will be a legend.

Yup Barry Ferguson must be on suicide watch from his pre match comments.
-
So, are Lyon through and Rangers are out?
-
Doesn't have the same ring to it.
-
I think he'll score a few before the season's out. Especially with performances like that up front.
-
The Duke was causing them problems in the box and holding the ball up well. It was the right move.
-
Awesome, well worth me taking the day off work. Thought we were going to nick it with those 3 corners in a row.
