  1. He'll never be as good as he was, but he'll still be good.
  2. I'm miles off topic, btw. Dyer.
  3. Dyer can't play in midfield, so it should be Dyer - even though he's done well. He'd be a good impact player anyway. Given Solano --- Taylor --- Someone1 --- Someone2 Milner --- Emre --- Butt --- N'Zogbia Martins --- Owen So, that would mean bringing in a centre-back, a left-back and a cover striker minimum. Anything less than those three simply isn't good enough. In terms of midfielders, i'd like to see us bring in another right-winger for cover in all honesty. Personal choice would be Giles Barnes - who can also play upfront. Moritz Volz who probably wouldn't cost a bomb, but Gera's available on a free.
  4. Touch and go this season. Should be a interesting finale tbh. Don't anticipate finishing higher than Everton or Spurs, though.
  5. Roeder's not going to get rid of him. If he didn't think he 'had something' (quite what he sees i'm not sure), he wouldn't have played in him in so many games. He's not going to get rid of one of our youngest members, someone who he brought up, one of his favourites, and Shepherd would probably be against it aswell. Just won't happen unfortunately.
  6. But Ramage is? What makes you so certain that he'll stay in the Summer? He's absolutely toss. Read the first two sentences of my first paragraph, and the first sentence of my second paragraph. Ramage won't go, but Bramble might.
  7. Would rather have Wesley Sneijder for £8m, which is equally as unrealistic. EDIT: Thought Milito was a centre-mid.
  8. Aye Frank Wiafe Danquah, Dutch i think. Think the last time he was mentioned, Mosley said he was a bit shit?
  9. That's just not going to happen, though. Might aswell be slightly realistic. I know Ben Haim's somewhat pie in the sky, but we can offer him the cash the likes of Chelsea would do. Difference if he came here being, he'd play regularly. Plus - are Chelsea actually still interested in him? Selling Ramage won't happen, whereas Bramble's already being warned. If Roeder had any backbone, he'd let him go. Mind you, three or four good performances before the season's out (despite an inevitably pathetic good games to bad ratio), will probably keep Titus at United. Said it time and again, bored of people living in hope over Bramble. Been here five years, never improved, never changed. He's good for 10 games a season. He's average-to-shit the other 30 and it's not worth it anymore in my opinion. I'm not going to be fooled by another few decent performances against part-timers... something i bet one or two people have been. Including Roeder. Going on HTL's theory... The truth about Bramble is, he's never been good enough for us and never will be, so we should get rid.
  10. Yup, which ain't what we're after that. We got that when we got Gooch, who we'll no doubt sign on a permanent, presuming his performances continue at an average-to-decent level. We want a partner for Taylor. Bramble out, someone in. Ben Haim on a free is my preferred player anyway, although doubtful. Why go spending £5m on Anton Ferdinand or £7m on Curtis Davies, when we can have someone a lot more experienced and a lot more proven for nowt? Same goes for Distin aswell. Taylor --- Ben Haim Onyewu --- Ramage Would do me for next season tbh. Huntington and Edgar there aswell don't forget. Each of whom are far more worth keeping than Bramble, imo.
  11. Really not sure about starting N'Zogbia. He's only played 15 minutes since he's come back from a very long injury. It just doesn't seem that long, it doesn't seem like a major injury, simply due to the pile up that we've experienced this season. Zoggy's seemed like just 'another one'. But, realistically, it is still a major injury and he's only a young boy. A bit risky in my opinion, in a season where he has been stop-start anyway, to throw him straight back into the fold. Give him 20 minutes/half an hour, definitely, then maybe start him in the next game. Plus, it gives Duff one final chance, in my opinion. He's had enough chances - and this is his crunch one. He's had an easy ride in terms of starting games so far. Early in the season, he only started games because he had a big reputation. Later on in the season, he's only started games because there's been no one else. Now that N'Zogbia's back - it means his place is under threat. Zog should be fit to start the game after Boro, so Duff needs to be on the ball. If i were the manager, it would be Duff's judgement day. Perform now or you're dropped. It has to be done. You're not only hindering N'Zogbia's chances, possibly the brightest young talent we've had in years, but you're hindering the team's chances by starting Duff. Make or break for the Irish 'wing wizard' as far as i am concerned. Start him.

    Wish you were there?

I know what you mean mate. That's a really good sum-up actually, i've been like that on a couple of occassions. I was fortunate enough not to have the chance to watch the Feyenoord games. Must have been rotten tbh. Best one i've been to... Newcastle 3-1 Velerenga. That's the truth, and i think it summarises my selection of Newcastle games that i've been to. Wasn't really old enough to properly understand the 5-0 and the Barcelona win. And because i've been to such a tiny amount of games, it's difficult to pick one out. In terms of Europe, i'd say the Juventus home one where Griffin scored. Domestic, not really sure. I'd love to go to a Sunderland game.

Why actually would they get the shit second teamers to sign them? It's hardly as if it takes a lot of effort? If they can get Matty Pattison's they can get Scott Parker's or Kieron Dyer's.
  14. Freind of the family is Gabbiadini.

    Would you...

No - i don't know. Which is why i didn't come up with lines and adjectives that suggested i did know. Unlike yourself. I don't have the faintest, and nor do you.

You know what goes on in the dressing room do you, Nazza? Shouldn't you be an ace ITK then? We never got any info from you in the transfer windows. Annoying when people think they know what's being said behind the scenes. When they really haven't got the faintest.

Is a jersey a shirt or a jumper?

Agreed, they look nice and am sure they're better quality than the replica shirts. I'd buy one. But i just love wearing the proper kits. Just think i look the part when i've got me name on the back and the full kit on, at footy training. It's ace. I'm a little kid you see.

I think he'll probably turn into a decent manager, but he's only getting the publicity because he's Roy Keane and it's Sunderland - a big Championship club who were doing shit. He's probably nothing more than a Tony Mowbray or a Steve Bruce tbh. Probably will develop into a decent manager and knows how to work the transfer market, but not yet - no way. Plus, not straight after the Mackems.

    Mackem Baiting

The thread was funny but i don't get the keys gag cos i'm slow.
  21. Not really, but it's usually a different case at home. And with Milner being back, and this being D-Day for Duff what with N'Zogbia coming back, IE, he has to perform or he's out the team (one would hope), i wouldn't worry a huge amount. We score goals at home. Still, i think the battling nature of a Parker-Butt combo would be useful and overpowering for Boro's young midfield. It'll be tight and dogged, but i think with our flair in attack - providing he plays with the team that i put up (i know best after all ), we'll come out top. Newcastle 1-0 Middlesbrough Dyer

    Mark Viduka

Fair enough, i see that i'm not going to be able to pursuade you.

    Mark Viduka

18 goals in 61 games. 1 in 3 There's a lot worse, tbh. And i'd still, for cover - which a new striker would effectively be, rather go for that than for someone untried and untested in the Premiership.

    Mark Viduka

I removed the things that meant the same thing, and balanced out the so called bad points. If you insist No point getting fussy about it, he's never going to sign for us since GR reckons its under 25's from now on. Aye, the GR that is giving 32-year old Sibierski a two-year contract. 18 league goals in his ENTIRE boro career. He's one shit hot mutherfuker tbh. Like i say, he'd only be cover here anyway. When he plays, he scores goals. It's as simple as that really. Technically he can as he's already at the club Cover though? How much is that cover going to cost us in wages? Too many reasons not tbh. The same amount of wages as an £8m player will demand, who will probably turn out to be less effective anyway. Martins and Owen is going to be the partnership next season, it should work, and even though Roeder is bringing in another striker for definite - he shouldn't tamper with the system and try to fit three strikers in. Because it won't work. Therefore, whoever he brings in, is effectively going to be cover, atleast for the time being. And a £5-10m striker is likely to command similar wages to that of a Viduka. For cover, £0 transfer fee + £40k a week is better than... £5-10m transfer fee + £40k a week Which pretty much blows your cost problem out of the water. The player's right and the price is right as far as i am concerned. He'd be ideal for us.
