We had red numbers and red numbers only for decades. What's wrong with that?
-
I didn't this year tbh.
-
People photoshopped red numbers onto some photos and it looked really good. Hope we get rid of the gold, which is tacky as hell, and the numbers/adidas stripes should be a proper material - not plastic. Sick of buying shirts for £40 quid which cost a fiver to make.

So glad he didn't mention Peter Ramage in that sentence.
-
Man Utd-Chelsea is how its 'meant to be' this year tbh.
-
If he plays a 4-5-1, which wouldn't surprise me what with us trying to protect a lead, we'll go out. Only ever played abnormally shit when in a 4-5-1.

Pointless changing the starting line-up tbh. Only change i would make, if push came to shove, would be to put Milner in and push Dyer upfront, dropping Sibierski. But that would be it. Why change the team that pummeled four goals past this lot just a week ago? Given Solano --- Taylor --- Bramble --- Carr Dyer --- Parker --- Butt --- Duff Martins --- Sibierski Alternatively... Given Solano --- Taylor --- Bramble --- Edgar Milner --- Butt --- Emre --- N'Zogbia Martins --- Dyer That second team there is actually close to my preferred, chosen line-up. But if it isn't broken, don't fix it. Atleast not now, not in this game. There's no need to change things.

Johnson and Hoyte were the two that immediately came to mind tbh. Johnson's having a good season really. I'd have him here.
-
Hopefully we'll be after a right-back in the summer, and i think Glenn's made it pretty clear he wants a left-back aswell. Are there actually any available right-backs in the Premiership?
-
Mind you, i'd like to see how we'd fare in the Champions League. There's plenty of beatable teams in it nowadays. Would love to see us back there in the near future.
-
We don't anyway tbh. Why is that? I'm just being realistic, really. Two more losses and we're pretty much out of it. Our run-in isn't majorly difficult, but we've got a couple of difficult away games and Arsenal and Chelsea to play at home. There are better teams ahead of us. At this rate, only 5th and 6th will be available for the UEFA qualification, and everyone's applied for the Intertoto. Whatsmore, if we get past AZ, we'll probably focus on that competition mainly. I'm not complaining though. Looking at the squad and the situation as the clocks ticked September the 1st, i just craved for a top half finish.
-
Keeper's fault tbh. Essien wouldn't have done it if the keeper had of shouted.
-
Motson, it's Didier. Not Deedier.
-
Looked offside initially...

WHY?? If you read the next sentence, I have thoroughly explained that statement. Have you bollocks. It's an excuse for a reason. 'Players don't improve at Newcastle'. Load of shit, mate. You don't need a reason you just want to write him off and write the club off.

Fucking shut up about Luque. Dyer... i fail to agree with anyone who claims that he hasn't significantly improved the team, and our season. Largely because he's brought Martins on very, very well. Martins would have scored half the goals he has done if he was playing week-in, week-out withi Sibierski or Luque.

Aye that's a very good point. I'm all for bringing in another young defender, but i think we should get that cheaply in Gooch (presuming he keeps up his adequate form). But an experienced centre-back must be a priority for that position, because the likes of Taylor, Edgar, etc - maybe even Ramage - will thrive from that.
-
There really is no pleasing some people. Makes you wonder what some of our 21-year-olds have to do.

In the last couple of games perhaps, certainly not overall. Personally, i would try and do everything to keep him unless they offered ridiculous money. We're currently struggling to find one top-6-standard central defender to play alongside him, are we really going to find two for just £6-7m? Exactly. I am not saying sell, but it is a fact that of late, Titus has been miles better and if Taylor shows Brambles kind of improvement then we are going to have two very good CB's.. So people are STILL living on the lie that Titus is turning the corner, and is actually a top class defender underneath it all. Five years on and people are still relying on a useless non-fact. No. He has periods of a season where he'll play really well. Like now. Then be abnormally shit for the rest of it. Taylor has his flaws but he has been playing consistently almost all season. I say almost - you cannot criticise his improvement. On returning from a long injury, he was rubbish at the start of the season. It took him a month or two to regain his form. He improved dramatically as the season progressed.
