  1. Why is that, though? Surely, as Bramble OG said, it's far better to have him on the road to recovery at Wembley against Brazil - rather than at Kingston Park against Jarrow Roofing?
  2. If you swapped the manager roles around, we'd be in the Top 4. Bold statement i know, but Wenger really is that good, and he knows how to get the best out of his players. Imagine also the development of the likes of N'Zogbia, Milner, Taylor, etc. Top 6 at the very least.
  3. More than likely to be a load of nonsense, but tbh, i think i'd rather see him play in it - providing of course he is 100% fit. Will do nowt to harm his return to full match fitness. If he is fit, it's not really Shepherd's place to say he's not allowed to play. And i don't think he will have done. The article's a load of shite.
  4. That's it - clear your name!
  5. Christ Invicta man, it's hardly as if he said Butt was past it - was he? Butt is 33 and we are going to need a replacement for him eventually. Don't agree that Sidwell is that replacement, because he's a different sort of player, but the logic is absolutely correct. You need to take your head out of your ass tbh, mate.
  6. If they're owt like they were last season, it's your head. However, i'm with whoever it was who initially said it in here - i reckon they'll stay up this time round.
  7. Hmm, still dunno. I don't watch the academy games or anything like that, but he's still only 16 and i think it might be a bit reckless, giving him first team football at such a tender age. But then... Roeder's obviously felt he is capable, what with his places on the subs bench. If Roeder didn't think he was up to it, he wouldn't have put him there. Unsure though.
  8. Agree with Baines, i'd love him here, but he'd cost a lot more than that - no doubt.
  9. You're probably right and i'm probably smelly. My mate was talking out of his arse if that's the case.
  10. Something like a bending finish into the bottom corner from the edge of the box, i think was kinda how it was described. Kinda like Dyer's vs Arsenal was how i'd pictured it.
  11. Thanks for all the votes, etc - been quite a big help so far, tbh. Thanks for your contribution n'all, Gemmill.
  12. I'm gonna get to a game next season - i'm hoping to go to the first one, because there's usually a buzz on the first day of the Premier Leauge season, and with a bit of luck - we might have one or two high profile debuts on that particular day. But, seeing as i am planning in advance, which stand - to you - should i be looking to get a seat in? I can imagine there'll be plenty of different opinions, but if there's a clear winner, then i'd like to know - so i can get myself and a mate the best seat! Plus, if you can identify whereabouts the best atmosphere - for example top/bottom of the Leazes - that'd be great aswell.
  13. It's comPlicated, bitch.
  14. Don't like it? Don't read it. Simple solution.
  15. OMG u cnt b siriuz.
  16. Would personally be surprise if the likes of Man Utd and Chelsea (especially Chelsea, what the fuck would they do with him?).
  17. Yours was virtually bang on mine tbh, NSG. However... i'd love Woodgate but he won't come back. Anyhow, it's crazy to think - that with the standard of freebies that are available this close season, we could spend nowt and still have the squad of a Top 4 team. Of course though, frees such as Tuncay and the likes will have more realistic suitors than the likes of us. But either way, i pray that Roeder has a sniff around the Bosman section this summer. Sylvain Distin - Free Luisao - £7m Leighton Baines - £7m Steve Sidwell - Free Mark Viduka - Free Fully Fit Starting XI: Given Solano --- Luisao --- Taylor --- Baines Milner --- Emre --- Sidwell --- N'Zogbia Martins --- Owen Subs: Harper, Distin, Parker, Duff, Viduka And... I'd be content with Taylor and Carr as back-up to be totally honest. We're not in desperate need of a right-back at all.
  18. The season isn't as good as over. Beat Portsmouth and we're two points off European qualification. And on current form, we've just picked up four very good points from our last two games.
