Lee, was it not? There - we're even.

Aye, Venison scored that goal when we beat them 3-1. Andy Townsend scored for them.

Jesper Bjorklund.

Accurate assessment tbh. Though i would have had Paul Robinson in over James.

It'd be funny if we were Chelsea.

Good job ruining the thread. Newcastle Fan's mere presence often does crucify threads, but i can't see how on this occassion? You have to admire Oba's commitment. It's fantastic. Especially when you consider his background; he's come from Inter Milan, constant title chasers and regulars in the Champions League. To go from that to our shithole of team. Also, the city of Milan is a stark contrast to Newcastle, it's a bit different... i've been to both. And since he has got here, he has said nothing but positive things about the club and the area. Love him to bits me, like.

Aye, just heard it for the first time on Match of the Day 2. Christ - she was forcing that. It just didn't sound right, tbh. I thought it wouldn't make any difference whether it was a male or female voice, regardless of the quality of the commentating, but it just did. No ta.

Crazy, isn't it. You can finish 6th and still qualify for the Champions League. Madness!

Shocker.

A 22-year-old, inexperienced player being played effectively out of position without a consistent/good partner, whose goals have basically saved us from relegation, clearly not enough for some people.

There shouldn't be. But this is Roeder.
-
BTW, i can't for the life of me remember the last cross he put on one of our strikers' heads. But then i don't go to matches...

The truth. I don't particularly like him, and i've slated him this season, however i've never thought him to be this abysmal waster that the majority have. Like i said, he's steady, and he'll put in the odd decent shift. That's what he's done since he's come back down the left, but in adequate shifts. But his genuine lack of ability just holds us back, that's all. Don't agree. I think naturally he's got all the ability to be a good RB. He can pass, cross and tackle. The thing that lets him down is his fitness. He's a fat cunt. And his performance range from good (Today) to the awful (Fulham away). So he's anything but steady IMO. He's capable of the odd good performance, never spectacular, and is capable of the odd bad performance. Just like every single player in football. On the whole, i reckon he's steady. And it's more than just fitness. He's generally just slow and his passing is erratic as fuck. Strong in the tackle, aye, but it hardly equates to much when he's miles out of position throwing in some sliding tackle in the middle of the box as a last resort. Like i say, i reckon he's steady - but his lack of ability just holds us back.

The truth. I can't say i'd get too excited if i was watching him and the winger interchanging on the edge of the box, cutting in, like i was when we had Bernard. It's a tough question. I reckon Parker's a decent player, but i reckon he holds us back. He's a decent player - but it's just a case of finding him a role and fitting him in. He doesn't have a role, that's the thing. I think he's more likely to become an attacking centre-mid, rather than a defensive one, personally. But at the moment he's neither. I honestly don't believe he has either the vision or the passing range to make it as an effective defensive midfielder. He has the tackling ability, yes, but the huffing and puffing that we see week-in week-out isn't enough to qualify him as someone who'll perform infront of the back four effectively. (HTL-mode deactivated) He's more likely to turn himself into an attacking player i reckon, because he's good at the arriving-late-in-the-box business, and that lark. The thing is, for me - Emre excels when he doesn't play with Parker. And i think Emre is the better player, so that's what's important. It's getting the best out of the best players that is the key to success, surely?

He wouldn't have played anyway tbh. Unless as a centre-midfield, which Roeder is pitifully trying to convert him into.
-
wy disappointed, our best left sided midfielder this season played there and played well. Because the brightest young talent we've had in absolutely donkeys years is effectively finished here now. he was a bright young talent lastv season, this season he has been picked (like duff) on his past rather than current form, duff has been marginally better in my view, milner has been streets ahead of both when on the left. Wouldn't disagree with any of that, it's completely spot on. But N'Zogbia was absolutely fantastic last season. And this season, Roeder's killed him. In my opinion, anyway.

Didn't see the game, it's a good point - without a doubt. Disappointed N'Zogbia didn't even get a look in. But i think any hope to do with him now is effectively false.

He's written down under the 'August 31st' subtitle.

Aye. Van der Sar Friedel Schwarzer James Nigel Martyn ... to name a tiny percentage of Premiership keepers.
