Tim Krul still here - looks like SSN f*cked up again then...

not happy with this but I`m assuming the likes of Fraser Forster and Soderberg are rated highly. Can see Krul being a future dutch intl Why cant we have just loaned him out than sell him ffs???!! -
So Shola must have recovered from his hamstring injury then? Any chance his move will be resurrected? He might have it drummed in his mind that since he started today he`s going to be a regular in the starting XI and not want to move.....we cant really afford to lose any more bodies tbh though

yeah looks like an astute signing by Steve Bruce......really hardworking physical player....I think we were linked with him a while back (last season?) on loan too. Wigan really have a pretty good squad of players IMO

Ignacio María González signed from Valencia on year-long loan deal

ok , some info I got from a Uruguayan footy forum about the fella. He`s an attacking midfielder/ playmaker --------------- Nacho is a 10 and has grown a regular for the NT, despite Paco Casal as owner of his contract wasn't able to place him in Europe so far. Had many good years as playmaker with Danubio (kind of idol for the club) and should've reached beyond that level for a long time. At Monaco he definitely wasn't the coach's favourite, but IMO absolutely had the level for Ligue 1. Nevertheless I am a bit doubtful about him playing in the Prem as usually the football of the Spanish Primera or Italy suits better for Uruguayans. So I would prefer a one-year loan from Valencia to another Spanish team, that worked out for Caceres too. And for the sake of the NT he'd better get a starter at his next club! -

City to sign Argentine Pablo Zabaleta........they`ve got a really good player there, can play right back and right midfield. Not sure if that means Corluka is on his way to Spurs then

our new creative midfielder? the wow signing?
-
heard he`s been nowt but trouble with Hamburg from going AWOL to swearing at his own fans.....not really that impressed with this signing (if he signs) but will support him as well all should
-
apart from his days with Real Betis I agree. He`s been a massively expensive flop with Valencia and has rarely reproduced the form he showed at Betis

Keegan: It was my decision to sell Milner KEVIN Keegan says he sold James Milner in order to move the club forward following the winger's sale to Aston Villa. Milner is set to sign a four year contract at Villa Park and while KK understands the disappointment of any Toon fans who are sad to see him go he is looking to strengthen before Monday's transfer deadline. Keegan said today: "Obviously James is not a player you would want to sell. "I would like to say though that it was my my decision to sell him. "We got an offer that was good value and if you look into the next two or three days I wouldn't have sold him unless I knew I could move the club forward. "We have a good chance of getting three or four players in before the deadline. "I wish James the best for the future. "It's right for everybody and people shouldn't think anything bad of him, he has done nothing wrong. "You have to remember he hasn't sulked even when he was in the car park at Villa two years ago and then told to turn around. "We have four or five other irons in the fire, two or three who I am seeing where we go with." http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2008/08/29/keegan-it-was-my-decision-to-sell-milner-72703-21633991/
