Ronaldo! (the real one).......but you can see why http://www.fcfootballblog.com/2008/07/03/overweight-ronaldo-pictures/
-
just browsing a few other teams forums earlier and of the fans seem to be unhappy with their club`s lack of activity bar Man U and Citeh of course. The rest like Liverpool, Everton and so on are whinging as much as the people on this board
-
Kerlon signed for Chievo Verona And this Felliani bloke that Everton signed for crazy money........apparently he get a monthly wage of €90.000 which is peanuts in todays market
-
Ben Tozer seems to be highly rated and I think he was on the bench last season for a game or 2......do you think he might have a chance this season with our lack of depth? I heard his position is primarily centre back but can play left back What about Lua Lua?
-
oh and Lamine Diatta.......
-
glad we got the Man U game out the way early doors I`m sure he and Tevez will make a happy couple
-
there will still be a few deals yet to be announced.......just like the Solano deal which wasnt mentioned until the next morning (IIRC?) when we signed him.......not that I`m holding out hope like

I'm moderately happy with this transfer window, but KK made created his own problem when he went about with statements like 1) Milner will be replaced (that was after we got Jonas) 2) we have 4/5 hot irons including a wow signing Should have just shut up or said we'll try our best, no need to take the fans for a ride (though I know it probably wasnt intentional) What the hell are you talking about? He didn't say any of that! I mean really, the man is being judged on Chinese f***ing whispers Ok mate, maybe the Milner was bit was a stretch coz he just said that he's getting the money from Milner's sale. But he DID say that we got 4/5 hot irons including a WOW signing (not verbatim) and he DID asked us to judge him by midnight....both combined which cretaed the impression that something big was gonna happen. If you disagree with me, then I'm afraid you just missed those interviews (I was believe it was either just before or just after the Arsenal game). So don't you me when you haven't got your facts right Zayatte would have been one of those had we not been fannying about.........and Atouba making a u turn. Not that bothered about Atouba as I think he`s shit anyway.......would rather have Tozer play

Some Uruguayan fan wrote into one of the fan sites about Nacho Gonzalez A Uruguayan here with some info on Nacho. He is a classic south american 10. Pure playmaker. w/ the added bonus that is a great header. I would say the closest player to him is Ballack. Or should I say, in Europe I see Nacho as Ballack as you guys dont play with 10s. Spent his entire career at Danubio. Is guaranteed starter on the National Team (won’t see him in next matches due to inactivity). Big Q: Can he adapt to be your BALLACK. YES. He has a good physique and won’t crumble in the middle. His passing versatility doesn’t get hindered being pushed a few meters back. AND he plays that position on the National Team, where he has 3 strikers to play off, nestled in between the defensive mids. If given confidence. With two argies in the squad to reduce anxiety. Should be a good move. Especially if on loan, free chance, with a good buy option!!! -
Are you happy with our squad and the way our club is moving?
LooneyToonArmy replied to Kev's topic in Football
well I`m glad were not paying over the top wages/transfer fees for average players anymore but disappointed we left it late despite having all summer to end up with no cover for left back/centre back etc but that`s already been well discussed -
well some deals are usually announced the next day (wishful thinking mind!!)
-
I would prefer that. I agree, but we dont know how good Gonzales is. Maybe hes more of an AMC rather than a Winger. I posted on a few Uruguayan football forums and posted the comments earlier in the thread....... they all said he`s an AMC........where did this winger stuff come about (from ill informed newspapers I guess) ? I guess he can play there though of course with him being left footed. I`m not sure if KK will trust him enough to out him in the middle yet but apparently he`s not one of those players that`s really lightweight and knocked off the ball easily. Love the negativity on this thread btw......he can`t be that bad as he`s Uruguay`s starting playmaker and attracted Valencia`s interest in the first place
-
my source I guess that means Elano wont be starting as much? hmmm, creative midfielder we could have done with ah well

that`s the other Nacho Gonzalez (left back) you were looking at.......mind the other one does look a canny player too, we should have tried for him as we need a left back and then have 2 Nacho Gonzalez` in the team -
Appiah is avail on a free transfer
-
defender Mario Yepes (who we were once interested in) signed for Chievo Verona on a free
-
Diego Milito to sign for Genoa
-
Emile Mpenza could be signing for Plymouth on a free. didnt do too bad at City last season and i remember SBR wanted him before we ended up with Carl Cort
-
Jon Stead signed for Ipswich and Helguson supposedly going to Norwich........I guess that means Shola is staying
