When you're bottom of the league you have no choice but to gamble. He'll be on a free if they go down. A deal comprising a ten million plus euro transfer fee plus the players/agents contract and fees, for what would be four months work if, as the bookmakers think they will go down, would seriously contradict what you said about Fernandez a couple of posts ago. There will be a release clause but a free would be pure mental. But hey, if he's the golden nugget that's going to keep them up, well done QPR. To put it bluntly if they get the 2 french players and with Harry at it...Their chance of survival just became better than ours at this moment. IF we don't perform in this window we'll go down.

Whats the answer then? Genuine question as to how you think we go forward this January. We still have time to get players in. There are plenty of strikers out there - if we're seriously looking and know what's going on. It would have been wrong to give into 80k a week and that's the end of it.

He's 27 not 23. His type of player - pace and athelticism tend to decline quickly as they approach their 30's. He needs the money now. So what do you do? Bend to his demands? What's the difference in what you were offering and what they did? You could equally say that if he's that type of player, he needs the money because he's going to decline, as you said, which doubly makes him one to avoid, especially at that cost. Nothing we can do. We have to stick to our wage structure, but that doesn't mean fernandes and qpr are monkeys like some are trying to say...

Yes they are. Portsmouth had a new stadium in the pipeline. Portsmouth actively were looking for extra sponsors and thought buying success now would buy them guaranteed future which was completely wrong. They still went he same way as Leeds. Which QPR will do when they get relegated. Fernandez is way smarter than anyone who was ever connected to Pompey. History is littered with the still smouldering corpses of clever, rich men who went into football club ownership and still got burned. Fernandes has more brains than the whole of our management put together. More so he is an inspirational character like a Branson. He really isn't. You know fuk all about him. He was one of the brains at Aol and left when he saw the writing on the wall. He started Air Asia from scratch in one room with no airline licence. If qpr survive in the PL a couple of season they will be a force to be reckoned with.

It's gonna be pretty poor if we fuck this up. I personally don't think we will but you never know with saggy face...He's a very old hand a weaving the magic.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Hatem really likes playing for us and the way we stood by him through the injury. He will only leave if it looks like we're going to remain uncompetitive.
  12. http://www.slideshare.net/03akkasi/boas-leaked-report?from=ss_embed Remember when this came out back in the day? Apparently done by AVB when he was Mourinho's Opposition Analyst at Chelsea. Good stuff, but I find the Mourinho type dossier a bit overloading on players.
  13. If you watch Anita now that he is coming into his game you can see how much pitch intelligence he has compared to say Tiote, that is no coincidence and has been drilled into him since youth.
  14. And Wenger doesn't listen to any of them. However, they are very similar in what they coach and how they coach it and they're all geared towards producing 1 style of football. They do it so each coach can oversee a smaller group of players and provide more feedback. Pretty much 'class size/teacher' type of deal. They work a lot on passing, movement and movement of the football '3 second averages' over the course of the training session is what they aim for (which again is why they have all those coaches keeping an eye on their group so they can see if a player is retaining the ball longer than 3 seconds or not). Interesting, didn't know that. NO way on earth our coaching is upto scratch. "They only know one way to play." "The Arsenal way" and all that bollocks. That's why. Think we need a proper 1st team coach in the oldskool style who oversees all the regimes and writes the season programme. I'd persoanlly like a defence coach a Bould or Adam type who can really drill a defence and make it play as a unit A really clever attack coach (ideally a former mid international player) - Ginola or that type who works primarily with the attack unit and runs drills and feasability studies with reg to the opp and our movement and match intelligence with the ball. There is normally a coach in Germany for instance who only studies the next opp and produces a dossier - Steve Clarke used to do this for Mourinho who used to do it for SBR. I'd have a psychology coach who is with the team on matchdays and can take individual discussions as and when with players. Think our coaching is too general and relies too much on the players to work stuff out during the game..That's why it often looks disjointed or too rigid and relies on individual brilliance.

Very excited as he's a Newcastle kind of player. Unpredictable, charistmatic and sexy.

I heard you were a fervent believer in the Portsmouth model.
  18. He has to stay till the end of the season.
  19. He has to man up and get on with it.
  20. This. I don't think he will leave as the only option is a loan and I can't see Mashley sanctioning that.
  21. He'll play 5.5 games and then be out for 2 months.
