Arguable for sure, the difference is this time he won't get sacked so we'll get to see what season three is like. Maybe he's developed and will have a way to turn things around. Alternatively he gets hit by a fukin bus.

Historically it's taken roughtly two seasons for the 'blag' to wear off. Apparently, suddenly all his 'hoppity - skippity', grinning, bedroom eyes, cheeky post match narnia - illusions to magic turns into a big wet brown mushroom.

I was of the impression we had talks with him more than a week ago. Either the deal is done or it won't happen. The longer it drags the less chance he's coming sad to say.

How many times did Pards do his little 'rainbow' signal during the last few games ie go long...I saw him do it at least three times during the Arsenal game.

Considering the eight-year contract, our lot clearly believe they're cleverer than everyone else and that he'll turn things around given time. We'll see. Genuinely wonder whether did that because they thought the FA would want him for the England job, so wanted to be sure of securing the compensation. They gave 8 years to Carver, Stone and Woodman also. Along with Carr now that i think about it. Do any of them have actually a coaching badge of any kind?

The ground needs to be rebuilt 20,000 ft above sea level so that other teams are knackered after 15min...It is literally the only way we're gonna win a game of football.

People have to remember that he must sound like Mourinho when he talks to Mash and Dekka the clueless fucks that they are.

Pardew has been the same his whole career as a manager. Blags it one or two seasons and then gets found out. No depth all gloss. The realistic ans to this situation is add some quality to the coaching staff and keep Pards on as that bloke who sits at the front of the coach in charge of the tapedeck.

I've always said people like Carver and such are just hangers on, from the dark ages, much like Terry Mcdermott, no matter what they always worm their way back into the club, if im not mistaken all these people ever did was just place cones out on the training field and whilst they not doing that they are tip toeing around the place being the eyes and ears of the manager, listening-in on players conversations and reporting back on who said this and that and who slagged off the gaffer. Having said all this right now the biggest problem we have is the manager. How do we judge Carver though, do we judge him when he was Sir Bob's number 2 and we were in the Champions League playing well and finishing in the top 5 regularly. Or now under Pardew ?. My point is, Carver doesn't really have any true influences or valuable input into the team, that includes under Bobby's tenure. Which makes Bobby's success even more remarkable as he done it mostly himself. You can see from Bobby's time as a manager he was in another league to not only Pardew but I'd say 70% of the PL managers of today. At Barca it was said he had a great knack of just simplyfing problems and issues so the players went away thinking nothing was wrong in the first place.

For the key players last year a lot of stuff was new ie for the likes of Cisse and Cabaye (getting to grips with the PL) and Hatem (after the lay off) - Ba was playing is heart out to secure an 80k deal some other place. We went on good runs of results (patchy performances) - so things weren't really analysed - everyone was kinda happy to just stay on the train. Then of course the new season brought real pressure after the high and totally out of the blue finish, add to that the poor window and of course you can see the blue chip players started to fall out of love with the direct/percentage football (once the results stopped coming). Honestly think it's a huge combination of things and Pards isn't really doing anything different than he did last year (just the players have had time to see its limitations in the cold light of day now). For me the real key is that no solid base or framework of ideas has been embedded into the side. It's all such a hotchpotch of stuff (depending on who we play). Our coaching set up is really lacking in ideas or how to implement them, there just seems little depth to any of it. No vision.

I'd have to re-apraise. After all it takes some kind of genius to just keep losing to anybody. Think Norwich will play us off the park.
  12. Ba's advisors scrutinise the Chelsea offer.
  13. Ba and his agents out on the town.
  14. Chelsea have turned downt the deal that HTT was offering. [/Deluded]
  15. You've got to be going some to put off Chel$ea with your demands.
  16. More advisors than Mike Tyson.
  17. A scan on what? His exploding knee. If it does go off it will make Fukashima look like a place in Japan with a radiation problem.
  18. Cisse has two knees ba has one. [/lock thread]
  19. Cisse is a one 1 in 2 striker. I've got no worries about him whatsoever.
  20. Cisse has been a better than 1 in 2 striker in the last 4 years. That's top tier stuff in anyone's book.
  21. This is sliding into the mouth of madness. The facts are Ba has been hawked around pretty much from the day he arrived. He practically lost his head and Africa threatened war on Newcastle via twitter when he sensed Cisse was had taken the spotlight. Ba played left forward at Hoffenheim and at West Ham...But not scoring means not in shop window hence the following farrago. If comitted to the cause means not playing in a position that benefits a team I'd like to see him when he really plays up (as he did at Hoffenheim). His comments to the French media (which I broadly support in content) isn't the way a player should go about his business. He might be a goalscorer but it's got to the point that he is being put above what is essentially in the interest of the club in the long term. I wish him good luck and am happy the Ba circus, agents and all is moving on. People talking about giving him 80k on a long deal are on crack imo. There is one player at Spurs on that or more and that's Bale (who is pretty much world class and a future Barcelona left back).
