How in the name of love is Poland allowed to even be a country?

Despite the 35m (turned out sweetly), the Carroll transfer pushed me over the edge. I think my hatred of LFC has gone down from 100/100 to 99/100 in the past six months, that's progress

Triad stuff innit? He sounds like League of Shadows.

Reveals the real meaning of 'new' behind New Labour.

More importantly how has - by any standards a big club that finished 5th, is playing Euro football and has a massive fanbase on its doorstep ended up with such a poor deal with a fifth rate brand (if you can actually call it a brand)?

I was in the same position... but took the risk as I expect to be lose around half a mil if I wait until the break is over. Let's see your team.

And bashing the Premier League for having the temerity to be sponsored by them (with journalists bringing up Sharia law, while the MP's throw their season tickets off their nearest available bridges in mass protest? Struggling to remember that, though you may be right and I've been living on the moon for the past 5 years. Welcome to blowback my friend.

There's been anti-globalisation and anti-bank protests all over the shop the last couple of years. These people must live in a bubble.

Might as well get arms dealers on the shirt then. Poor logic. Wonga = the arms industry now. To be honest, while I'm sure you'd swear of football forever if we got Rolls Royce on our shirts. I'd struggle to generate the moral outrage you manage to sustain. Just a shame a good local company like Armstrong Whitworth aren't still around to sponsor us. Agreed. I thought Sage would be a good shout...But not sure about their ethical standing.

Might as well get arms dealers on the shirt then. Poor logic. The logic being where were the people who are now up in arms when Northern Rock was our sponsor, or ntl for that matter? Taking advantage of people with long-term mortgages that they'll never be able to pay off = acceptable. Short-term loans that cost a tenner = repulsive. As bad as arms dealers. You seem very blase about other peoples misfortune. I have a good mind to write a strong letter to your father.

Payday loans company Wonga have been lying to borrowers with a poor credit record to take out more debt, interrupting applications with offers of more money on account of their “gleaming credit history”. The company has always strived for an image of a “responsible” lender – something which doesn’t tally with their behaviour. In the pictured example – from a borrower with negative credit information on file – the applicant was offered £501, rather than the £400 they had applied for. Wonga told them: “Good news! We see you have a gleaming credit history and a great track record of managing debt … If you would like to increase your loan to more than £400.00, you can have up to a new maximum of £501.00.” http://politicalscrapbook.net/2012/03/wonga-counter-offers-gleaming-credit-history/

The Journal: http://www.journallive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2012/10/10/61634-32001249/#ixzz28tAAJYp5 Why doesn't he just come out with the figures? Ridiculous. It's basically about around 6m a year which will make fuck all difference to our ability to compete with the top 4/5 clubs, regardless of all the spin about competing with them coming from the management inc Pardew and his 'champions league' quotes. Putting the questionable moral debate aside, it's a very poor deal for the image of the club and it's marketability in England and Europe. No other partners are going to be excited about being part of a 'leper' brand franchise. This deal will do short term and long term damage to the club and all for a couple of million more than Virgin were paying. Ashley has proven to be astute when it comes to managing player wages and general cost cutting and with things like that he deserves credit. But for the long term building of the club they remain self-serving, clueless and gutless. Futhermore Newcastle United have a resonsabitlity to the wider community and should in all cases pursue ventures that add value and bring positive impact to the supporter and the public. This deal does neither. Infact this deal is such a bad message to the city it is almost surreal.

Yeah whatever happnned to that little gem?

Over 4 years is pretty crap in all honesty. Defnitely not worth all the aggro and the pr hit the club will take and the fact it will scare off other brands and partners and advertisers.
