Could make us a hell of a lot more attractive. I'm inclined to think he'll take what he can get especially with wages running so high (money that has to be found every month) till they are shifted. Might not be so easy to shift either.

Next month we can take Owen, Viduka and god willing a few others off that.

Sadly have to agree with that. This announcement at this crucial time is a self-made tragedy. Edit: If the club isn't sold within 2 weeks and a good manager/AS isn't put in charge, there is no chance in hell of coming back first time.

This new information regarding the club being on offer again has thrown a huge spanner in the works for prep this summer of the first team. The sale might well drag on for two months etc...Even with a quick sale (3-4 weeks) there is no guarantee that AS will be part of the plan and new owners will take a least a month to work out where they are going financially and football wise. Another period of indecision and lack of direction may well stop us getting back up and there are stats somewhere that show that if you don't get back up within two years then iirc 66% never came back (I'll try and dig them up). How bad is this gonna get?

Football is a very risky investment.

I'm hoping that some fans stop living in delusional la la land. I'd rather win the lottery than have to go to work every day, doesn't mean I'm going to get it. There's no chance in hell that we're going to get an owner with big money. They just aren't around in the current climate, and if they were they wouldn't waste their money in football, and if they did they wouldn't choose this club. We're in financial ruin, the new owners have a hell of a moutain to climb and they are dealing with fans on the edge. One wrong decision and they'd be f***ed. Who'd want that? The best we can hope for is someone local to come and try and sort it out and get us stable again. Is La La Land where Portsmouth are taken over by a loaded Arab only a few days ago? You do know why we're in financial debt right? If you think it's all the current owners fault and you'd welcome that fat c*** back then La La Land must be occupied be you and you only. Oh, and on one wrong decision f***ing us up as you allude to........................would you want FFS presiding over the club, if that's the case, given his history of getting major decisions completely wrong? I wouldn't. Shoot me. Funny that. I didn't mention Shepherd once in that post. I don't want Fat Freddy and his debt-y ways back actually, but we aren't going to get some multi-billionaire knocking on our door to save the day. There has to be some happy medium between it all. Yeah, but this is Newcastle United.

That perhaps is a future, but not what this situation calls for.

I'm guessing Parky means as part of a consortium. I think anyways. Yes.

...and put Shearer in charge with money from outgoing transfers plus 15m to spend.....What would the feeling be on here?

I'm taking them down one by one.

He went out to Dubai as well and then took the piss and got drunk allegedly.

Direct quotes from Ashley in the Sunday Times suggest it's true. And you believe everything in the papers? You don't think there might be some legal issues if they just completely make up an interview with Ashley where he says he's gonna sell the club? No I don't believe everything I read in the papers, but I believe the believable stuff. Do you disbelieve everything you read in the papers? No, which is why I'm waiting for some official wording from either the club or whoevers selling the club before condeming Ashley to NUFC history. Simply believeing one paper after reading the amount of newspaper shite we've faced in recent years is like listeneing to a poster who spoke to one of the 'insiders' at a golf day. Direct quotes is libelous tho.

The club has massive potential. We need one bloke who is committed and has some brains. Step forward Chez Given.

Completely made up. It's taken from this article in the business section of the times http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premier_league/article6396030.ece so i can't see it being made up. Maybe the quit bit by Shearer is but frankly I doubt it. Ah, my standard response to the NOW might have been a bit hasty then.

QFT. Quite the shrewd operator Danny.
