  1. Well then I'd say they made the jump to the PL too quick. Personally I think the football education is lacking.
  2. AGAIN? They finish 4th every season, haven't you read the papers? The DOF thing is really working.
  3. same for scholes imo... wonder how mclaren gets on when he eventually gets back from holland...looks to be doing OK there at the moment, maybe something to be said for going abroad for a different perspective? I'm not sure I agree about Scholes - he's always come across as quite fiery on the pitch, something of a leader, and it isn't always the big talkers who command respect. Could well be wrong, I just reckon he's got something about him. don't think we'll ever hear from scholes again once he retires...giggs on the other hand perhaps EDIT: can't wait for beckhams attempt to manage though, his mrs doing the kits and that like delia half cut...it'll be fuckin mint Sammy Lee springs to mind in this category, seems to have all the tools, but just doesn't have the presence. you could tell from listening to that bloke talk for 5 seconds that he was stupid and wouldnt cut it Good coach as part of a team, never a manager in a million years.
  4. Not so sure about that anymore. The Bolton thing was a sign. palacios was fuckin immense yesterday, unless he gets injured i think they'll slowly start to pull it together with him chopping people up properly instead of fairy's like jenas and zokora keane will bag some goals as well...i WANT them to go down but they won't, they just won't Will you change your mind if they don't win a league game in March? i will if they don't win a league game by may! you looked at their fixtures? i haven't being honest, why do you mention march? hard month for them? remember 4/5 wins will get them to safety (probably), can't see how they won't beat 5 teams...unless they've played most of the shit already, but they can't have played it all They don't have a pretty run in like. I have and I see maybe one win for them in March and that's if Boro play shite.

  7. Another totally unwarranted attack on NUSC.
  8. Not so sure about that anymore. The Bolton thing was a sign.
  9. Actually thinking about it John Barnes is another one.
  10. Although iirc Adams worked around Europe in some other set ups, deffo in Holland and seemed to have something about him. Redknapp probably wasn't the one to take tutelage under as he is what I call a 'natural' and more of a motivator rather than a tactician. See all of these would have gained some good insight if they had worked under the likes of Venables or a Clough as MON did. Begs the question do ex-managers who have had a certain amount of success help in the FA coaching set up?
  11. The shoes test. Seems to come across as very indecisive. Look at some of their peer group Zola, Van Basten, just seem to come across with a lot more credibility. Perhaps the coaching badges should stipulate working abroad for a period??
  12. World beaters? We aren't no but we're still better then the Spuds. Despite having the worst injury record in the league and despite all the players they just bought which were, once again, supposed to revive their fortunes. Infact I think they've bought too many. 4 right backs now ffs!!
  13. Thinkers make good managers, none of these are really thinkers bar Platt for me.
  14. I think Platt had the brains to do it. Silly thing he did at Samp sitting in the stands instead of taking his Italian badge.
  15. I wonder if these FA coaching badges are anything to do with it?
  16. Should have stopped there.
