  1. He is pretty hopeless. Still he hasn't played much for a few seasons may get some of his early promise back.
  2. Have you had a brain transplant with GeJon?
  3. Arsenal just beginning to struggle a bit.
  4. Pompey def snoozing at the free kick. Quick thinking there. 'Arry doesn't look happy. Kanu the muppet has just wiped my Toure clean sheet. >
  5. Senderos off!! Trip on Kanu who was going through.
  6. Reading have had a tricky run of games as well. Still we've got these games to come.
  7. Parky

    Steve Harper

The position should be that the man in posession keeps the jersey till he has a bad game.
  8. Arsenal are totally dominating Pompey with the little Spanish lad pulling the strings. 'Arry is playing a 433 it seems but not totally sure. Johnson is having a bit of a nightmare at the moment. Flamini has been a revelation for me at the start of this season. His movement, energy and passing has been awesome again today. Anyway the main thing is Van Poncie hasn't scored. h-t Arsenal 2-0 Harry's Harriers 0
  9. I disagree with the first part but agree with the second. Smith is a great player for the squad in the sense that he is one of those wonderful players who carries with him a winning mentality. Something there has been a real lack of in our squad for some time, the more of these players that are around the better - infact Geremi is another. When Barton returns I would drop Smith and play Milner on the right and Barton and Geremi in the middle with Zoggy on the left. IMO we can't play Smith/Geremi/Butt all together, wherever Smith plays - to have those three all in midfield is too defensive and lacks flexibility and genuine thought about the attacking phase....Defensively it's fantastic and one of the main reasons we remain unbeaten. If you get past Smith on the right you're faced with Geremi or Butt covering and you're knackered getting past smudgers first tackle and second 'lunge' . Smith for me gives us many options and will again come into his own as the ACN starts. I don't think wide right is the place for him, I would play him in midfield just ahead of two covering DM's with license to run into the box and kick a few players and the ball if he gets near it. My striking starting pair has always been Owen and Martins and I'd bring Smudger on if he is on the bench for one of these two with 15 min to go. Too early to tell really, but I can see what people are saying about him, but don't underestimate him he will prove you all wrong and in a fight I'm on his side.
  10. Allardyce will get money if he needs it and if we're in a position to take the club into the UEFA or even better if we're in 5th place come January. I have no doubt that he will be backed if and when he asks for money, especially as Ashley seems to be turning up on a regular basis. Was Ashley at the game today? Yes, he went crackers when we scored an' all. Good to see that and he was asking Mort a lot of questions. On another note I don't like to see them sit near to SA during the game, he needs his own space. Mort was looking at SA's screens I noticed..Not that he would have a clue what he was looking at.
  11. He's got Beckham like tatoos now.....But not quite the footwork..
  12. Rather have Troisi come on than Pattison any day.
  13. You're too kind sir! And a gentleman to boot. Many people? Intellectual prawns more like. mackems.gif G Jonah always has a sniff if Dave and Wullie have been there...... Nitey Nite. What a crock of shit. I see you saw the game.

  15. Should be against this lot with 10 men tbh. Otherwise I would be worried. Big plus for me was how stuck at it and the players were very positive on the ball and looking up all the time. Worried by the lack of a genuine creative player/hub. We nearly didn't break them down today and we will struggle against better sides to make chances. But not bothered at the moment and happy with the points. We didn't break them down? We had 3 clear-cut 'should have been a goal' chances in the first half and plenty more in the second when they decided to defend with 10 men. We're just not finishing well atm, which is down to our strikers not being sharp enough. There's no problem with a lack of chances being created. 18 shots today, doesn't really scream LACK OF CREATIVITY to me. Plus we still are waiting for our "creative" midfielders to play. 18 shots what? Vodka....Big sam looking bemused with 15 min to go? You clearly wouldn't know a creative midfielder if he wrote on your forehead with a felt tip.....CREATIVE MIDFIELDER. blueyes.gif
  16. That passes as creativity around here apparently. It is sometimes an education to glance over these pages..... Real creativity ends up in goals and I don't count hitting a lot of balls into the danger area and having a swing at it as creativity. Sorry. God bless and all.

  18. Can't believe that, Milner is shit apparently. Zoggy man of the match for me. If Milner could pass he really would be summat.
  19. Just relieved. Few tactical bungles from Sam but doesn't matter now. We really lack someone who can be creative and see a pass. THis match was the perfect example of why we will struggle to put teams away.
  20. Creating chances but little fluency. Smith needs to come inside a bit. Get any joker on at half time to play left back and get Zoggy up the park now!
  21. The team is in the early stages of learning how to play together etc.. But I suspect a dour 1-0 will leave a lot of us dissapointed.... And I for one want to see us try and play more intelligently and some good movement. God forbid 0-0.
  22. I can't believe Chelsea let him go to direct competition for that little Mourinho is a very astute judge of players mind. Probably didn't rate him so highly. Strange I know. But then so is Wenger, funny transfer that. Not since about 2004 Really? Blimey. That shows how much attention I pay. Does he play on the wing then? Which one? Right and left. Probably more often on the left, though him and Osman often swap during matches. Yep. Rosenior is a promising young fullback, very good going forward. Not that solid defensively but that might well come with experience. Seol Ki-Hyeon is really awful. Perfect example of a player living off a few eye-catching goals. Around this time last year Seol was an amazing player and someone we should have got instead of Martins There has to be summat not right with Diarra or Mourinho would never have let him go to Arsenal. Couldn't offer him a first team slot. They have 100s of Center Mids. Chelsea who have been known to buy players they don't really need to stop the competition getting them wouldn't have let this happen. They have clearly judged him as not much of a threat.
