Was very impressed with the U.S. energy levels and fighting spirit...Expected them to be organised under Klinsmann. If that bloke hadn't kicked it over the bar (with 2 min left) it would have been a historic win.

You forgot overweight.

Cause his normal cutting inside that nobody on earth is interested in as it is completely valueless 99% of the time is not poss on the right side.

Deep down inside the Russian doll that is Santon there is no defender. Never has been.

Hope for his sake he leaves. Would be better of at Gitmo compared his situation now.

Did start his career as a right winger bro. iirc it was Mou who bigged him up as a left back back in the day.

So, Liverpool have a player that they supported when he bit someone, claiming that the length of the ban was extreme and down to the FA and Premier League. He then doesn't learn his lesson and does it again. Liverpool now have a better chance of winning the league. Why should a team ever benefit when one of their players bites someone? Because why not? It's not like the punishment is going to cause Suarez to mend his ways, is it? Fucker's done it three times now. Everyone knows he's off his trolley, yet most clubs would still give their eye teeth for the bitey sod because he's so fucking good. So he's still going to earn millions. Other clubs aren't going to lose interest just because he once again proved he's as mental as everyone already knew he was… Suarez himself just gets to take an extended (paid) holiday. The punishment falls essentially on Uruguay and Liverpool, which—you would hope—is not really what was intended. Instead of banning him from games (which effectively only punishes his national and club sides), they should have fined him something painful (instead of half a week's wages) or forced him to play wearing a muzzle (well, forced him to seek professional help). You might consider this was a good way of sealing a move away.

Delightful read. Collecting coins as a street sweeper to international stardom. A lot for the mind to process. Would react differently under stress I'd imagine.

Someone needs to do something and soon.

Who do you think will be appointed next season? Pochettino, Van Gaal, Laudrup ... General feeling is that LVG is the most likely - if he wants it then it's pretty much a given. There's more talk about De Boer than the others you mentioned. I dunno. The World Cup is not coming at the best of times, and that may well be a stumbling block. Van Gaal is not going to come without getting some real control, and Levy will have to work hard to reassure him that that will be the case. Blagging our way into the top four - which amazingly is still possible if Arsenal keep capitulating - would make a huge difference, obviously. I don't see any clearer candidates among the younger managers. I'd rather have Laudrup than van Gaal. Detest that xeno-brazilian-phobic prick. What's that last bit about?

Real are keeping close tabs on Rodgers.

93.30 or so on the clock. Ben Arfa carries the ball on the right hand side of the field, cuts inside, flights an inswinging ball towards the back post and Cisse hammers it in with his head just in front of and to the left of the penalty spot. Cisse tried to be offside but couldn't quite manage it.

Hatem came on and we went up a gear.

Can't wait for Wengers post match.

He's the type you have to stick with through thick and thin and not discard at the first bad game which is what Pards has done every time. Or play him on the left etc...Pards prefers his workhorses who run up and down a lot.
