Wow, coz I think you've played w***. Are you not watching? 10 men, yes they've kept the ball. s**** upfront for a supposed attacking team. They've controlled possession away to one of the best teams in Europe as well as scored two. Not the best I've seen from them, but one of their better performances this season. It doesn't matter if they 'control possession' when it's 0-0. Hate that phrase, become what the likes of Swansea fans use as daily w*** material. It does when you are away to a very good team as it stops the other team from attacking because you have the ball. It doesn't really matter as far as attacking goes unless you are creating chances to go along with it, which Barca were They created chances when City had 10 men, not really before. The only point to this game is the stupidity of Demichelis. What was Demichelis meant to do really? It wasn't his fault the other centre half had left so much space for the through ball to go into. He probably could have tackled him a bit earlier so it wouldn't be a penalty but every defender in the world would have made that tackle. Try and stay on the pitch 0-1 isn't the end of the world. DeMich is their weak link right now.

Said it before the game, he shit the bed man. Why he let them play to their strengths, really disappointed. Yup. My Barca mate was saying earlier that they are actually quite fragile right now and was fearing the ManC attack.
-
Barca were only in control cause ManC sat so deep and looked scared. Utter piffle.
-
Cowardly from Pellegrino there. Let Barca settle and stood off. Should have got stuck in early doors.

Magath is a real force. Watch how Fulham start to change in a matter of weeks.

Well I'll tell you. All of them. They see the club as nothing more than a stepping stone in the PL shop window. That's fine. There are clubs bigger than us who I'm sure they'd love to play for. That's our lot - we're not Real Madrid. Important thing is that we get a good deal, and spend the money wisely. The ole Real Madrid straw man. What are you saying then, that we should expect our players not to want to play for bigger clubs? That players who sign for Newcastle should see it as the ceiling of their ambitions? There's nothing wrong with players joining us hoping to do well and move to a massive club. If the club showed ambition then the players might want to stay. Cabaye was told we were targeting champions league. Our goal should and can be 4th (along with Liv, Spurs and Everton). When we finished 5th that was the time to build on the foundations, not tread water as we continue doing (while banking transfer and tv money).

Will the profit be used significantly upgrade the first team or will it be bargains shoehorned into the first team regardless of need or tactics?
-
How many quality players do we actually own who aren't looking to get out asap? How many players aren't demoralised and confused by the direction of the club? How many starlets are there waiting to get into the first team? How many of the players can it realistically be said actually believe a word or Pardclues spin week after week?

We need a donkey doctor up in here.

I'm happy with anyone who can talk a bit of sense in the post match.

Really annoying. Magath has forgotten more about football than Pardew will ever know.
-
Hoddle has a huge knowledge base and likes attractive football.

"He explained that the arrival of Tevez and Mascherano had upset the club's rhythm..."
-
I like coutinho but he's been mostly average this season But not dropped to the bench being the main difference in management styles.
-
Cabaye left a better player because he had adjusted his game to include the Premier League, quite how you attribute that to Pardew input beggars belief. He had some very average patches at the club as well, especially when deployed very deep. His agitation for moves tended to coincide with upturns in form but that might sound a tad cynical.

Santon and Krul will be next. Kruls refusal to track back has singled him out in the eyes of the manager.
