  1. Went for 10 but upon relfection it should have been a 9 depending on who comes in.
  2. Would like to see the lads on level 7 unveil a banner that leaves all this cockney mafia bollocks and says something like 'Thank you Chris, from the fans!'
  3. I know hindsight's a great thing but don't think this would have happened if Chris had his first choice team available. Chris has ultimately paid the price for no strength and depth in the squad which was hardly his fault considering his hands were tied by the powers that be. Sometimes I think he's actually trying to f**k this club up. The only way he can save himself in my eyes if a manager of a better level comes in but looking at lack of transfer funds, strict salary structure etc I can't see it being anybody we're going to be pleased with. If only Real had thumped Barca instead of the other way around we cold have got Pep.:-)
  4. Just home after being stuck on Been stuck on the roads for 5hrs and read this. Absolutely f**king gutted. Didn't agree with some of his decisions and sometimes his lack of premiership experience has shown but he was well on course (in my mind) to keeping us up which was always the goal for this season. He had the backing of the players and gave us that stability we required. Now we're the laughing stock again. Wonder what the players are feeling right now? Can only think/hope/believe that Fat Mike has someone lined up? Does Kinnear come under the 'experience' they're looking for?!! Hate to sound all Citizen Smith like but I urge all fans there on Saturday to forget the cold and snow and let the whole world know what we think of this cos I just know some twats in the media will turn this into our fault. Power to the people!!!
  5. Krul - made a couple of great saves. His distribution was poor and his kicking fecking woeful. I thought Harper was back in goal Simmo - done okay. Thought he wasn't as confident since he didn't have Barton in front of him. Felt he held back from tearing down the wing Willo - solid. Frustrated me at times with sideways/backwards passes when he had room to carry the ball forward Colo - thought he had a good game. Jose - one of best performers yesterday. Didn't stop trying to create down the left. Some cracking inside runs too Jonas - lightweight. great at getting free kicks for us but runs in to blind alleys too often, shame he's our only outlet bar route one. Tiote - usual solid display. Will be missed next week Nolan - didn't feel it was his usual standard. Off the pace and all too often awol from the midfield. Some timely interventions around our penalty box though Guthrie - is not suited to playing on the right and clearly played like he thought the same. Poor performance all the same though. Would have got far more out of him playing him with Tiote in the middle. Carroll - had another good game. Showed more of his game than just his power in the air, things we should be looking to exploit more often. McLovin - thought he done okay overall. Better than his previous showings. I thought he tried but got frustrated with lack of service. Made some cracking runs that possibly Barton would have spotted. The way we play is so geared up towards aiming for Carroll's bonce and it's not his game to feed off the second ball.
  6. Think Barton is gonna be punished for last night so he'll be unavailable and assuming Ameobi is crocked: Krul Simpson Williamson Colo Jose Routledge Guthrie Tiote Jonas Nolan Carroll Routledge hasn't overly impressed me so far this season but still feel he can offer something different. Guthrie needs to play in the middle or not at all. Would like to see how Tiote and him link up. Just know Hughes is probably watching dvd of last nights game and taking notes on Blackburn's game plan. I feel with that midfield 4 they could conjour up something 'different' other than the 'aim for carroll's forehead' routine.
  7. Utter shite! Got off my sick bed to drive for 5hrs to watch that. Anyhow...there was no plan B whatsoever. Do we even plan for B or C or 'what if' scenarios? In the last two games players and management have been lauded for having a game plan and carrying it out effectively. What happens when things go a bit tits up? I can't think of one area on the pitch where we won the tactical battles. Did 11 players all have a bad day at the office all in the one game? Unlikely! (Really) hate to say it but Fat Sam done a number on wor Chris.
  8. Was going to get Tiote name and squad number on the back of my toon shirt but after watching him today I'm just gonna get his name tattoed on wor lass' ass instead!
  9. Jonas needs to produce in the second half. We need him as a an outlet to relieve the pressure we know we're going to be under at times in this 45mins.
  10. His 2nd goal was awesome. When it came off the bar and I sawwho was lining up to hit I thought that it would end up rattling about the empty seats in the away section but he hit hit it perfectly! True test will be if he can keep up performances like that.
  11. Being north of the border we don't have too many of them up here definately none in our workplace so that's a relief cos I'd probably be sacked rubbing this result in their faces..... tho on the other hand I'll probably be sacked for spending most of today watching replay after reply of the highlights non-stop!
  12. He should dress as Monty the mascot for one game! Seriously tho... gotta be a suit.
  13. Jesus!!....this is some hangover I've got....coulda sworn there was talk of FS making a comeback.....
  14. So is Clarke the one CH was quoted as saying he was very close to appointing or was he offered it first but turned us down so we're close to appointing MA's CH's second choice?
  15. Wonder if HBA will be there?..... Surely an appearance by him waving his crutches about like a loon will get us even more fired up!
  16. Still not as heart-attack inducing as yesterday when opened up my internet homepage to read Ince agrees Magipes deal!
  17. If this is really being looked at as a possibility by Chas & Dave in the boardroom then could it be (in their screwed up way of thinking) that they're looking at poor home results = poor home attendances = less incoming money?
  18. I'm a big Lovenkrands fan but agree he's been pish anytime he's been on the pitch this season. And this is him with a full pre-season behind him too! He'll have some brass neck on him if he thinks about knocking on CH's door tomorrow asking to be in the squad for Sunday.
  19. He's one of these "100% effort" players but the effort is so misdirected it's unreal. Comparing him tonight to Tiote on Saturday is like night & day (no pun intended:-).
  20. Boils my piss the commentator going on about them making 9 changes and still whipping us. Like we had our first team out there!!
  21. least those knuckle-draggers we face on sunday wont be anywhere near arsenal's level...
  22. "was there any doubt?"..... I just can't f**king stand the bawbags that are the sky commentators!
  23. bar Ranger I can't say our 'fringe' players have impressed me much. So much for grasping the opportunity to impress.
