Cracking goal again...funny how Coleman says we've been relentless.... must be watching a different game from Wilkins! Just noticed no Vukic on the bench! Shame, would be his kinda game to come on for last 15-20mins. -

In Pardew's defence, playing Raylor and Shola worked a treat against QPR back in September. Please tell me that's sarcasm?!! -

Even taking in to account 'work rate' etc.... mad decision. Don't think the QPR players are shitting themselves as much seeing Raylor on the teamsheet! -
Read on another page that this lad has "missed training on a number of occassions"..... How the feck to you miss training? It's 9:30 and your wandering around Tescos thinking "I'm sure I should be somewhere else"??!!!!!...... Ranger was/is a complete bell end for continually being late but this lad sounds like he's taking it to another level.

West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll

Was this taken at the Pig & Whistle? -
Gave the team a (deserved) pasting for not turning up at anfield what a difference. It looked like a completely different team from the first whistle last night. Thought Shola was pish for first 25mins but then came in to the game. If Simpson could play like that most/every week then I'd be happy for him to get a new contract. If I had to pick a downside (and this is being really picky considering who we were playing!) it would be with Jonas. Thought his passing was poor and never seemed to want to take on players. Massive well done to Pards and the lads. Thought every player in black and white was a hero.

Blood still boiling about this one! The bad: WTF was Pardew thinking with his selection of Vukic ahead of Ben Arfa?!! I rate the young quite highly but even after 30mins he looked like a rabbit in the headlights. Showed them way to much respect with formation/tactics. They've been relatively pish at anfield this season. Could have played on that and got the crowd unsettled etc. Pardew's man management of our no.10 has been addressed in great depth on another thread on the forum but he needs to have a serious think about this. Ba might as well have left for the ACN before the match, such was the scant supply he received from our so called midfield. And don't get me fecking started on those two twats called 'wingers' we supposedly have in the squad. Did Obertan or Jonas supply one cross or beat their man the entire game? Also could a certain Mr D Simpson just do one and f**k off!!! In my opinion he was the worst player in a black and white shirt last night by a country mile (and that's a tough award to win considering his competition). A new right-back should be our no.1 priority in the Jan transfer window. The 'good': Fristly, thought our fans were brilliant last night! Could hear them over the famous 'kop' all night. It was only 3! Could easily have been more. Judas no.1 didn't score Judas no.2 didn't score either! Santon got another 45mins under his belt. He didn't play particulary well but will have learnt a helluva lot and should be a starter from here on in. At least it wasn't 4-3 which would have had the sky studio tugging themselves! But I have to reserve my real criticism for the sky coverage. I've never heard/watched such a one-sided commentary in my entire life! From the get-go it was all about liverpool getting 3 points and getting back in the group 'where they belong' and cosigning us to 'the mid table' group. Just get to f**k!!!! They start crap and it's all excuses like 'work in progress', 'injuries', 'suspensions' etc but when they're winning then it's all bullshit about 'classic' liverpool. Gerrard's a cracking footballer but they way they wanked over this guy was unreal. It was the xmas liverpool show and opposition were they just to make up the numbers.

Norwich vs Newcastle - 10/12/11 - Pre Match Thread
ScottishMagpie replied to Decky's topic in Football
Hate to sound like I'm putting pressure on him but this is the kind of game I would expect a talent like Ben Arfa to really dominate.... Or is it still to early for him? -
Postives - Ba, Guthrie and obviously Krul. Negatives - Ben Arfa not having an impact as I'd hope/expect him to, simpson still hasn't learn to tackle and perch/taylor on the left scares me shitless. If they'll all over us for the next 10/15 mins I can see Gosling coming on. If we're in a with a sniff maybe Best will appear. Sammy will come on around 80 mins.

Seeing Carver has just set me off. -
Changed the channel to catch start of the match to hear them talking in the studio about somebody passing away, caught the surname and tried to tell myself it might have been an ex swansea player from the 60's/70's but quick hop to SSN confirmed my fears. Felt like I'd been kicked in the stomach. Didn't get to see him play properly for us but saw him turn out for Shearer's testimonial. Could feel the love we had for him pour from the stands. RIP Gary.
