Ba looked pretty slow yesterday, but I think it's just fitness. Shit myself when Cabaye and Ba went down. I think Sammy and Vukcic can be really important for us and I'm looking forward to see how they progress. Cabaye's corners were great btw.

Oh come on. You're basing this off barely five minutes of selective highlights. There's no doubt that it's promising news but to start comparing him to other members of the team is a bit much; especially those who're unfortunate enough to have suffered impact injuries this pre-season. I still like Guthrie, he showed plenty of heart staying at the club and playing a pivotal role in making sure we returned to the Premier League, particularly when played out of position half the time. It's a bit of a pleasure to be blessed with such depth at centre-mid now... it's such an important role. You need only look at the year we went down (and a couple of the years preceding it). Generally, total garbage in the centre of the park, particularly in depth. Guthrie was probably the best centre-mid we had! Mental how some people are still on the lad's back after one shitty performance at The Hawthorns. Guthrie's been a decent servant to this club. Rant over. Lets be honest, Guthrie won't have been falling over which offers to stay in the Premiership, if any.
