The set piece failures is probably the most idiotic thing of all. It's been going on for so fucking long as well.

Belhanda is superb. I guess Spurs will play Sandro Parker Dembele Lennon Belhanda Holtby Sigurdsson Dempsey Bale Adebayor

Yeah I don't get this, surely you just phone them up, say "parlay vois anglais", then shout "Remy 4 million pounds" and wait for an answer Simple really, doesn't take that much getting ready I picture it as much more of a process. Mike and Derek dive into Mike's money-pool, then start filling up bags of money. To make things as cost effective as possible, Lee Charnley then swings by with the team bus. The three of them load the bus before Lee takes off for France. He then reports back whether the offer was sufficient when he's arrived in Marseille. Knowing what our intial bid's usually looks like, Lee will be doing quite a bit of driving this month.

How is that in any way better? made things simple in the sense that we had s***, heartless players who were past it and the writing was on the wall and had been for some time. Contrast that to the current setup where we have a decent crop of professional and talented players but as a club have knackered a clear opportunity to push on. I didnt expect top five again but we had a real plarform for success and it makes it more frustrating than the relegatiom season imo. made things simple the sense that i knew we were s*** with older and past it mercenary players Basically this. Watching these players lose 10 out of 12 games is causing even more frustration. I expected Smith, Owen and fucking Damien Duff to relegate us at some point. They had never done well for us. But this team? They've shown that they can beat any side when used correctly and given the right to play. The main reason for our drop in form was our unbelievably shit football during the first half of this season. The defeats were always coming, can't believe how lucky we were against Everton, WBA and Reading. Should have lost all three tbh. Thank god we didn't. Anyway, that's where it comes down to the manager. He had the same set of players + Anita. Yet made the decision to play the most negative tactics in the league, presumably to feed the best player in the squad. A system that didn't work for the team. Now is his chance to put things right. Like Dave said the other day, I look forward to liking Pardew again. For all his rights last season, and the season before that, this period has taken away all of my appreciation for him. His behaved cowardly and looked as if he was exposed to one of those lightning-things from Men in Black during the summer.

I'll make him my FF captain immediately.

Norwich City vs Newcastle United - 12/01/13 @ 3pm (not on TV)

Seriously though how great would it be if we could get Remy in before Norwich? Wouldn't play. Pardew won't have been preparing his tactics to include him. I love this place -
"Quest is still ongoing from what I've been told". What fucking insight. I learn more from smelling my armpit.

On par with Sinclair going to Man City, the difference being that Marin actually has tons of ability.

We've been occasionally good at keeping the media in the dark over transfers. I hope the progress here has just gone unnoticed.

Reading more French than English and Swedish at the moment. Still all I can think of is this.

Excitement building. I'll just believe this for the sake of it.

I wouldn't worry about that. It's what they do.

Isimat Mirin has been linked quite a lot. Sounds promising, some say he's a bit over confident and commits too many mistakes as a result. A young, physically imposing CB sounds like wet dream in contrast to the middle-aged, weak, football-phobic lower league liability we watch every week. Some lad named Thauvin at Bastia is heavily linked in French press as well. 19 years, quick and skillful winger.

Ba to Shola was just one of many. Hatem to Sammy Santon to Ferguson Coloccini to Perch Taylor to Williamson Anita to Abeid The only backup I'm content with as of now is Cabaye to Marveaux Tioté to Perch Debuchy to Simpson Bigirimana is decent at times. But in effect, we have four players good enough to be backup. Ryan Taylor and Gabriel Obertan could be added to that. Still far off what is acceptable.

The context was about how it was difficult to buy more purple players as we could only afford so and so many. That makes it difficult to assemble a competitive squad capable of coping with injuries. Llambias quotes:
-
Can't believe he wasn't even given a few minutes at Brighton. Has to go out on loan asap. Same probably goes for Streete.

On a serious note, I want him ahead of Sammy now. -

Shit signing. Romain out. -
Sensible? Having 3 senior CB's at the club, 1 who is injury prone and 1 is a Championship level defender is sensible? Having 3 senior strikers at the club (now 2), 1 of which is Shola Ameobi, is sensible? It's far from sensible, it's downright stupid and is hurting us now on the pitch. It's not about the expenditure, it's about having a balanced squad with depth. Our squad was short for last season BUT with the additional European games it was obvious more bodies were needed and we didn't get it, that isn't sensible. I think there lies a pretty serious problem within in the view of "purple players". It's not treating football as a squad game, but as a process where you try to assemble 11 good players and then hope for the rest to fill in on as few occasions as possible. It's yet another example of how little Ashley and Llambias actually understand about football. They've implemented an interesting enough business model that I firmly believe is our way forward. It does however need revising and tweaking. Relying on people from the development squad and having James Perch play in every position - it's not how football works, especially not if you want to move forward. It worked briefly during last season, but we were not hit by any amount of injuries. It gave them a false impression of how things work. They've shown before that they learn from their mistakes, they just need to quit making new ones. I hope this period serves as a warning to them.

Tipping point. Get him out of my club.

Never going to happen. Needs replacing asap.
