  1. Or a Bellamy. We've missed Bellamy for 8 years now. We stopped moving when he left.
  2. Even if there is he'd be too old for Ashley's transfer policy. Robert was 28 when we signed him. 26.
  3. Me too, was excellent back in Chile, looked so, so good when Universidad de Chile won Copa Sudamericana.
  4. If this isn't a win, I can see Pardew losing big sets of fans. Disappointment has been building and is now turning into more and more discontent with him.
  5. He did a good job at Scunthorpe as well, didn't he? Shocked at this, I know they've been ambitious, buying Ramirez etc but this will no doubt harm their spirit.
  6. Sir Bobby's time here pretty much apart from developing youngsters.

    Alan Pardew

He's been a mess in his comments for the past months. I think it's a sign of pressure getting to him. It could well lead to a bit of panic as he's reminded of his limitations and suddenly experiencing a scenario that has been his downfall before. Circumstances are different now with his contract/relationship with Ashley. I hope that security will see him through things, but he's showing next to no signs of getting to grasp with things. I had hope for us when we played so well at Manchester United and then gave Arsenal a game (for a while). However, that collapse at The Emirates wasn't that of a healthy team. It's led me to believe things are seriously slipping away from him. With his captain wanting to go, his best player leaving, failing to get the identified replacement, I think these are signs that won't improve the players trust in him either. The performance at Brighton caused him to say a few things that I reckon will only hurt him and us. He needs everyone on board instead of blaming groups of players. As for us being where we are, I can't believe he's not come out once and taken responsibility for it. His mentality and footballing philosophy has been abysmal, especially for the first 15 games. I'd actually argue that we've played better at times during this lose-every-game inferno. The football we produced at Reading for example was one of the most shambolic shit I've seen, same goes for the first half at Everton. Demba's goals and some incredible luck, that's the reason we're not sitting even further down. Blame whatever you want, there is no reason whatsoever for us to be down there. All his own doing for not playing to the players' strengths.

  9. Been discussed earlier. Is he linked to us in Danish papers?
  10. Because 90% of the things he's done since then has pointed to him not giving a flying duck about the sporting agenda.
  11. Thought they said two first teamers and two squad players and I can't imagine him being a first team player. Then again I couldn't imagine Williamson being a first teamer.
  12. Don't worry we've still got two weeks of this window left! That means 14 whole days of unrealistic optimism followed by the inevitable utter depression on Feb 1st when we just couldn't get anyone over the mythical line. And then a right bollocking at WHL. Fuck me this spring is going to be depressing.
  13. Thauvin apparentley close to Lille now. If anyone gives a shit. This is incredibly dull. We should have brought in at least two this week.
  14. I'm not sure what De Jong would do for us. We need wide player/s.
  15. Have we even started readying the bid here?
  16. Agree, with this. Some f***ing lunatics as you mentioned was way off, but they are gone. But again, i have no clue who is Norwegian here based on user name, other than the "well known" guys. And Kaiz, Norwegian football is better than most Norwegian say? gimme a break man. I have watch that s*** regularly, its not good. Even had a season ticket for some years, until i just could not take it anymore Some good players come from time to time, but that is it. (Then being sold to a obscure league after a good season.) Good for a country with 4.5 mill people. s*** compared to most other leagues. That is my honest opinion, but does that make me fall into your stereotype? Infinitely better than ours and we are 9m over here. Travesty of a league, ours.
  17. Around £32m. Don't know how it compares today with rates etc.
  18. I really like Pontus Jansson. He coaches a youth team in his hometown club in his spare time and used to hold a season ticket and now stands among the Malmö fans when he's injured or suspended. Not good enough atm, though. Maybe in a few years time. He used to be a forward and has good technique for being a CB but but he makes a lot of silly mistakes. Never good enough in a million years. This is turning into the Swedish forum. We're not doing ourselves any favours buying Swedes, especially not from Allsvenskan. Daryl Smylie is a starter, that's how bad it is.
  19. Martin Olsson - no. Makes the impression of being decent because he's quick. Very inconsistent. Not what we need.

Really hope he turns them down if the bid is accepted.
  21. Agree. Good assessment. There's no sporting agenda. We will suffer because of that.
  22. Going to Marseille it seems.
