  1. €13-15m is a good price by the sound of things. Now let's forget all about this and concede that we'll see Darren Bent up front quite a lot next season.
  2. Piraux talks a lot of bollocks. Probably going off the Sky Italia claims.
  3. Wonder if Gosling is our new "tackle" when we need one?
  4. My favourite so far this summer: https://twitter.com/indykaila/status/351702190412410880
  5. Sky Italia saying he's on his way to Dortmund, €15m They're wrong more often than not though.
  6. He needs urgent help. Absolute batshit crazy quotes again.
  7. Best of luck to a good and honest professional who did very well to prove himself after a disastrous start. Exceptional at Anzhi and Liverpool at SJP the year before, his best performances for us.
  8. Looks like we missed the boat here (or decided to not be drawn into a "bidding war"!) Decided? We heroically avioded getting sucked into it. An important victory.
  9. http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/05/04/article-2319453-199E7C7E000005DC-136_472x721.jpg
  10. Chronicle saying we value Aubameyang at £11m and that we're not interested in either Bony or Gignac. So who do we go for next?
  11. I don't see why Tomkins would come here to be 4th choice. Seems really strange. And if we get Bent, surely it's not to play backup to Cissé. We need an actual striker in as well, Pardew knows this.
  12. .com seem certain a bid "in the excess of £10m" has gone in for someone.
  13. Lee Ryder ‏@lee_ryder 23m Mike Ashley is a businessman and would always be prepared to listen to offers. Small problem is there are NO offers. #nufc He has some great connections like.
  14. It's more about the footballing decisions and people not being hired on sporting merit for me.
  15. He tried to sell the club for £100m back in 2009 after initially putting us up for sale for £400m during the latter part of 2008. He took us "off the market" the same day we lost 1-5 to Liverpool under Kinnear - then put us back up when we went down. It's happend again and again. I remember listening to the M&A consultant (Keith Harris?) in charge of selling the club back then. Sounded so difficult with Ashley. I think it would prove the same again. Unless Barry Moat has won the lottery.
  16. Don't get why we're keeping Richardson yet letting Abeid go?
  17. Not really relevant. Other teams are making signings.
  18. Some bold statements there, considering you don't have 'too much concrete or reliable information'. It's just my interpretation of what's going on. If we had been planning and set out to do something of purpose, we shouldn't be getting reports about us pulling out, moving targets and "avoiding bidding wars". My main worry is that we'll keep looking for good deals and not what we actually need. Outside the top clubs we have Norwich, Southampton, Fulham and West Ham who all have managed to adress some of their most pressing issues through some meaningful investment. All we get is reports of us moving away from our top targets, pulling out because of last minute decisions and unwillingness to pay. Then again, I should know better than to judge before the start of July.
  19. Without too much concrete or reliable information, this window looks an absolute disaster so far. We've scouted one CB for two years, negotiated for 5 months and then pull the plug because JK comes in. We've looked at another CB (Tomkins), but he seems to cost actual money so he's also a no-go. We've known we need a striker since Ba left and we've seemingly been looking at: a) Carroll - didn't bid for him. b) Aubameyang - wants Champions League and he'd be mad to sign for us with Dortmund etc in for him. c) Bony - we do not want to pay actual money for him so he's also a no-go. No planning, no ambition, no strategy, no money.
  20. Found this as well on the other hand.
  21. WBA and Villa at home were decent mind. WBA at home was shambles. Can't believe we won. Some stupid penalty after Shola tumbled in the box. The Villa game was decent, Barton and Martins had good games.
  22. We were chaotic rubbish under both, but JK started the rot. I was at SJP for the Liverpool game, as bad as we've been in my lifetime. I was too, Liverpool could have had about 15. Can remember Given leathering the ball away in pure frustration as he was the only player preventing more goals. He was probably man of the match and conceded five.
