  1. This thread needs a disclaimer like the jokes thread.
  2. You lot have a funny way of showing happiness then. We've just drew with Rangers, lets ridicule our manager and call for him to be sacked. Happy times!!! Eh? Think you've missed the point here and in this thread. The thread has been created like it's just for a little giggle when really it's for everyone to have their sly digs at Pardew and vent there frustration inside by nit picking things from the press. It's not laughing at getting names mixed up or getting muddled up mid sentence, it's dissecting interviews to find little comments which can make him look clueless. I'm fairly certain this could be done across the board for all managers in press interviews if looked into. Exactly. The idea that it's just to collect factual quotes is ridiculous and insulting to everyone's intelligence. It's yet another opportunity to have a smug dig. Why are you so bothered man? I genuinely don't get it.

  4. You lot have a funny way of showing happiness then. We've just drew with Rangers, lets ridicule our manager and call for him to be sacked. Happy times!!! I'm calling for him to be sacked based on his entire time here, and his entire career.
  5. By that argument, we should probably create an "Moron" thread, so that like minded people can stick together and be Morons. An Moron thread
  6. Notting Hill Carnival is basically just 'Europe' when it comes to excuses. But because he explicitly mentioned it, it's become something of a poster boy for the excuses. Him blaming our performances on people visiting the training ground and putting the team selections and tactics () on the internet is much more worthy of ridicule.
  7. Understandable a lot of positivity has went out the window considering he said it's his strongest side and is most likely the team/tactics we'll be starting the season with (new signings aside). It's like people are just waiting for it to go tits up, the season hasn't even started yet. If we continue where we left of a few games into the season then by all means I'll be moaning like everyone else, if as football fans we can't be optimistic before the season starts then what's the point. This thread just seems a bit premature. I was miserable as hell last season, trying to delay that feeling for as long as possible tbh. The thread's overdue to be honest. It hasn't been 'brought forward' it was 'avoided'.
  8. I wish someone would question his persistence with Jonas.
  9. I find it embarrassing that we have a thread dedicated to 'excuses' from our own manager, before a ball has been kicked in the season, and made up of quite a lot of stuff which is exactly the same as every manager in the league comes out with on a weekly basis. I also find it depressing and irritating how we revel in negativity, but that's a bigger issue. It's just a bit of fun man. As for revelling in negativity, that's ironic given the nature of the thread you're embarrassed by. I'm fairly certain if RTG had a thread like this up and they were ripping their own manager to shreds people on here would be loving it. Put the thread on our forum and it's just a bit of jest... I don't speak for 'people' I'm speaking for myself, I think it's a bit of fun and I couldn't care less what they talk about on RTG, you're scraping the barrel. As for ripping our own manager to shreds, I wish we had more fans who would pull him on the bullshit he talks and the quality of his management. In fact I wish we had more fans who objected more strongly to Ashley's ownership as well, but that's a different thread.

  11. I love that everyone's living up to their stereotypes in this thread, good effort all round
  12. Yes but the players are getting a free ride out of this performance whilst Pardew takes all the flak once again. The only player who once again didn't escape a few abusive posts was Jonas, just typical. Not a word mentioned about Cabaye/HBA/Cisse. Same old. These players mentioned might have had good games, i don't know, hardly read anything about Cabaye or Cisse and HBA lost ball a fair few times but he always does. It's just far easier to see Rangers score a pen after 5 minutes and say sack Pardew straight away and kick up a fuss within first 10 minutes of a pre-season friendly. Brett, we were shit for an entire season last time out. Think about that, an entire season.
  13. I'm very positive in general, I think we're a top 6 club at least, I'm an optimist. I also happen to see Alan Pardew for what he is. As most do, obviously.
  14. you're not allowed man, it's just negativity, nothing is relevant until it's too late for some people...happened last year: person a) we could get relegated for the following reasons person b) don't be stupid, that's never going to happen for no reason whatsoever repeat right up until game 36 of the season when the penny drops same people can't see we need to change, we need to score goals and create fucking chances against garbage like rangers....so fuck if they were up for it, like man city and west ham won't be up for it? It's been said many times before, some people need to see this group of players coached by a competent manager before they'll realise what we've been dealing with. Roughly 50,000 people, I think.
  15. I like things like that In what way? People being rightly annoyed that the failures and rudimentary problems of last season not being addressed? That we are continuing to use players in wrong positions so close to the start of a new season? Yesterday all positive posts, we are going to do well, we've got Remy, our front 3 is fantastic, and our team looks exciting. Comes to the match and everyone is back on the sack Pardew trail again before the season has even kicked off. All of these comments are from people who have only been refreshing twitter for Lee Ryder updates i must add so have actually no clue to what has actually been happening in between a 30 yard Cabaye effort and a monster tackle from Debuchy for instance. Baffling to draw such conclusions on tactics or the style of play we were using when you haven’t even watched the game yourself or let alone listened to it. Ahh right aye, we've got NO IDEA WHAT'S HAPPENING. We've all watched an Alan Pardew team for 2 and a half seasons, we know what's fucking happening man
  16. I like things like that In what way? People being rightly annoyed that the failures and rudimentary problems of last season not being addressed? That we are continuing to use players in wrong positions so close to the start of a new season? If we're 10 games in and still haven't looked like addressing last seasons problems (which are actually the problems of the season before without the good results) some people will still be asking for more time for Pardew. It's just the way it is.
  17. What reason is there to expect any different? A proactive manager would have addressed all those issues last season before we were in danger of going down. We don't have one of those.
  18. Why don't you just call them all surrender monkeys and be done with it
  19. Good God. It's a friendly FFS, what's the point? He's terrible in the air, you could see that 5 mins into his debut. Fuck off Alan.
  20. I'll be interested to see how long it takes him to cite us playing in Europe last season as a reason for losing this time round.
  21. I think we're all a bit damaged mentally by our footballers graveyard phase, and rightly so.
  22. He looked alright in the second half of last season, like. On his day, he can be a threat, and I'd prefer to see him over Obertan. Not entirely convinced we'll be seriously interested, like, because of the bother we'll ahve shifting him if it doesn't work out. Too high risk imo, get in someone who we can move on if it doesn't work out. I'm all for signing an older gent if they're actually good, but I think Cajun's right in saying we'll be sick of the sight of him within 12 months, and his presence will stop us improving.
