Only a year left on his deal. We'll take the transfer fee no matter how small over letting him go for nothing. Like we did with Simpson? No he ran his deal down and left for free. Both were told they could leave, one didn't leave straight away.

It's mad isn't it, you can't even say that you reckon the over riding reason that Cabaye doesn't get forward is Pardews tactics without some ridiculous bullshit coming out. Even something that obvious. -

No, it's just far easier and more optimistic to blame tactics. Nah. It's just more correct, really. Like it's Pardew's fault his corners are dreadful and he won't make the runs required to support the attack? Yeah? -
The club will have put that story out to discourage more cancellations. Just for the record, email the box office with your supporter number and tell them you're cancelling the ticket and cancel your direct debit, that's it.

I didn't, somebody else did. Well that's the employers fault then isn't it?

The club can't force players to learn English, the club would be much better off trying to encourage them rather than trying to force them to do something that they could refuse to do and the club would be able to do nothing about it. Having a clause in their contracts could make a difference as they would then have signed to say they will learn the language but I don't know how enforceable it would be. We had a number of foreign workers at work and had massive problems communicating and we wanted to force them to learn English. We contacted an employment lawyer who we work with and they told us to back off and if communication was that important to us a company then we would learn their language. I've never heard such ridiculous tripe in my life - if you go to a foreign country, the onus is on YOU to be able to do the job they require of you ; it may or may not require you to learn the language, but if it does, then if you take the job with that understanding, they are within their rights to fire you if you fail to do the job properly because you can't speak the language. Try going to France and trying to get a job in which it is vital to learn the language if you aren't proficient in French ; try it in ANY foreign country(where they have politicians with ba--s) and you'll be on your bike smartish. The sooner the UK leaves the EU and repeals the ridiculous Human Rights Act, the better - the whole thing is just a money-making racket for lawyers and if anyone on here knows anything about Shakespeare, they will remember that during a discussion about improving the lot of people, he said ' First, we have to kill all the lawyers..!' It really isn't a life or death issue if footballers are not proficient in the language of the country in which they play as long as they can use the basics during a game but as with any situation where people are in a foreign country, life is much easier if you CAN speak the language. There is no doubt that I would learn the local lingo if I lived in a country where it was necessary - I even brushed up my Spanish for a S.American trip 3 years ago and it was worth it. As for sodding lawyers telling me to 'back off' from instructing foreign workers to learn the language in order to do the job properly - good luck with THAT one because I just wouldn't employ any. Bastards. Genuine question, are there any rules or regulations stating that certain groups of people or individuals must be employed regardless of their language skills? I'm finding it really hard to get my head around people being given jobs when they're not suitable. That's the employers fault, not the candidate.

It doesn't matter what we think, some prick or pricks in Europe will have made the decision. It's probably seen as being against their human rights or some shit like that. Hang on a second, if someone can't speak a certain language that you deem important in the workplace, to a standard you deem adequate, surely you just don't give them the job?

Thank fuck for that

Sounds just like Shola . . . . Sounds like Cisse. . . . LOWLIGHTS

That's the real problem most people have with him, plus his association with Wise back when they were at Leeds. Personally i don't really care. If I was going to go on a night out or invite one of them round for dinner, maybe Pardew would be the better choice. But to manage and coach a football team I'd pick Poyet every time. Gus (round for dinner) for me like.
-
I'd take Poyet over Pardew without doubt. He looks to be a promising manager, and I've never really been able to understand the ill will towards him from our fans. Unless he did something other than scoring goals against us that I'm not aware of. There's been rumours of him coming a few times before so I could see it happening. If only Ashley did things sensibly instead of saving pennies at every turn we could have had him installed for the start of the new season and been looking forward, instead of waiting for the inevitability of the shit storm of a season we've got ahead of us.
-
That just makes the state of affairs more frustrating imo. Llambias has fucking gone now, he should've sacked both the useless twats.
-
Well that's me done. It's all just got a bit much, sick of paying a subscription to have someone take the piss.
-
It's definitely intentional.
-
Pardews done more than JFK ever did as a manager and he comes with the added benefit of not being a walking embarrassment Yeah, but I allowed for that in my post, I just said insane rather than embarrassing. Has Pardew done much more? I'm not sure, either way he's a shit manager.
-
And the bloke keeping his job, and the bloke giving both of them jobs.
-
Sounds great, we'll be in the bottom three at christmas.
-
I don't want JFK here anymore than the next guy but I don't see much between him and Pardew as managers. They're both shit. Just depends how insane you like you shit.
-
Eurgh, just awful, awful stuff that interview.
-
The part of the interview when he just lists all of the players he's sold
