  1. The major failure is in believing a debate is something that should, or could be won.
  2. Maybe Pardew wants to buy Gomis because he doesn't want to have Cisse as the target man. What that means for Cisse I'm not sure, either 4-4-2 or more wing duty probably. The club want to buy Gomis because they missed out on Remy. I'm fine with it, I said months ago that if he isn't going to be sacked he needs to be backed with players he knows how to do something with.
  3. There'd be something tragically beautiful about signing Siem De Jong and giving him to Pardew to do something with. If we're stuck with Pardew we're better off signing a lump like Gomis, the alternative is long balls up to Cisse.
  4. I'm starting to think that missing this one might be a blessing in disguise. It'll either be awful and we'll scrap a win or it'll be awful and we're going down.
  5. ashley just needs to cotton on that a good manager could save him money in the long run and that pardew is not a good manager pick up the phone, ring someone up who knows something about football and ask them who is a better manager who can work in the system...i honestly think it's as simple as that, as much as i believe he could/should spend more i don't think it's the be all and end all, a semi-competent manager would have had us nowhere near this mess imo I agree, Ashley seems to make more bad decisions than good though, they tend to add up over time.
  6. I might possibly take a relegation if it meant Ashley selling up like. Possibly.

We'll get someone else man, we've moved very quickly in this window.

Unless they get relegated and we buy him on the summer for next to nothing.

As long as we still buy a striker, not bothered.

    Sunderlands new right back.
  11. Pardew going would probably speed up hatems departure, every interview he ever gives he always compliments and says how good the manager is. His relationship with Pardew is probably the best he's had with any manager/coach he has worked with. That's a fair point, going forwards though we'll lose more than we'll keep due to Pardew. Although there is absolutely no evidence for that so far? Just the evidence that players usually want to play for good teams under good managers, throughout the history of football.

  13. Our recruitment is great, we need a better manager.

There was also a quote about finding a partner for Cisse

Get Remy in, back to 4-4-2. Solid gold.
  16. Nah I think I'll just blame him for everything if you don't mind

Those Colo quotes make me think it's not all about his personal life. You've got to think there would be no grey area if it was.
  18. I'd be frothing at the gash if we brought in a manager that could get both of them playing well.

    Alan Pardew

His position would be untenable at the majority of clubs if we lose to Reading, but I still wouldn't bet on the 2 clowns getting rid because they have begun to see what a mess they have made of it all and that their Oh so clever sacking of Hughton for Pardew has rebounded on them big time... I agree. However even if we get a win over Reading and pick up enough points to make us safe I still think there'll soon be a time when we've got a very competent starting line up and a few in reserve, and the football won't get any better.

Well it's funny, as soon as they think they are going to loose money by risking relegation and having no slice of the big pot next season, they spend. Finishing 5th and looking to push on to bigger and better things they do fuck all. Still a bunch of wankers if you ask me. Yes, well done for spending what you should have in the first place. I agree with you.
