I'm hoping no news is good news.

Aye he's not going to change the style of play, particularly when we're missing a few first team players, Pardew's all about negating weak points rather than emphasising strong points. It started with playing Jonas in front of Raylor as a second full back and it's continued from there.

I'm to ill to get to this, expect another stunning Ben Arfa solo effort. -
Wireside is hilarious, he's probably the best developed comedy character since Alan Partridge, whoever's behind all that is really really clever to be honest, they're even starting to bring in the dad issues now.
-
More than likely the same people that were saying he was struggling to adapt to the league after he scored 2 goals in his first 3 games.

I'll be chuffed for Skirge if Hatem plays behind a front 2! -
Also the stuff about Cabaye and Tiote coping against midfield 3's is bollocks, it's one of the main things that was said on here last season, we were regularly out played in the middle, every now and then we weren't but it was the exception to the rule.

"The Europa League’s meant we’ve swapped from system to system." Right Alan, so that's not you picking the formation and tactics then, it's the competitions we're playing in?

That reads as if the press are questioning his tactics and he's having to respond, which is good. -
Can we sack him now?

Aye this is the first one in a while where I'm just expecting us to be shit, feels bad :-( -
I wouldn't go along with that. You can make a very good player look ordinary if you give him the wrong role. Either way, no-one should be surprised that Cisse is now looking out of sorts. Yeah, I don't really like that bit, I think it's mental.
-
I particularly like the bit that states he should be able to adapt to any system because we paid 10 million pounds for him, Carr should get in touch with whoever wrote that and sign him up as a scout, he's clearly got what it takes.

Fuck that, I dont fancy watching hollywood balls from Tiote all game. We need some creative outlet. I'd play Ben Arfa central. Tiote-Vurnon Gabby - HBA - Sammy It's not ideal but if we want some attacking force. It's simple with Obertan. Never ever play him. If I were a Newcastle fan I'd play Ferguson at left back and move Santon to the right wing rather than play Obertan. A few of us are slower than others, they'll catch up. -
For longer than what? 2 months? Aye.
-
He's just adapting to the league, like almost all foreign players need to do, anyone writing him off or calling him shit is just stupid tbh.
-
Pretty much my thoughts too.
-
which is ? beyond doing more homework on players and being unwilling to pay more than we think we should i don't think anyone actually knows how we go about it. I think he may have been alluding to the fact that Pardew's got nothing to do with it?
-
It's Ba, and the huff came before the goals.
-
The movement thing is shocking like, which is why I keep going on about default modes of playing the game, it seems like he coaches safety first football all season long, it's not right for a team aiming for top 6, it's avoid relegation football.
-
He missed quite a few chances actually, he tended to miss the easy ones. Perhaps. His conversion rate was incredible though, never seen anything like it since Andy Cole's hey day. There's no perhaps about it. His conversion rate was fantastic but he was missing an easy chance pretty much every game, headers, one on ones etc. Anyway, I agree with your above post on Ba and I've been saying it for ages, mostly to Cajuns disgust :-)
-
first of all there's no evidence that Ba has given the manager a ultimatum. There's loads actually, Pardew admitted it for a fucking start.
-
Yeah, this. Pardew should have nipped the Ba thing in the bud over the summer tbh, he should have been told that he'll play where the team needs him to play and that's that. The only reason I've got sympathy with Pardew on this is I think he's trying to direct what little funds we do have towards other positions that need strengthening more.
