I liked Mike's idea yesterday about the Williamson free kick routine, it needs it's own song that is sung every time it happens. I don't think Pardew can hear me standing up and screaming 'shite' in Level 4 so I need some help.

Aye the lack of picking up second balls was painfully evident yesterday, it's either a pin point delivery which lands at a striker (whether a cross or a long ball) or the other team win possession very easily.

When I heard the line up for West Brom at home I posted saying I felt like I was right back where I started with Pardew, and I lose a little bit of confidence in him every week at the minute (especially at home, I was actually pleased with the Anfield result but I didn't see the game). I know it's easy for us as fans to talk about how we would approach games without the pressure of actually having to deal with the results. Injuries and suspensions shouldn't be a reason (and aren't a valid excuse) to negate your teams best qualities, especially when it's clear to see we negate our attacking qualities every single week in the hope of nicking a result anyway. We only had two of the first 11 missing yesterday anyway, but surely if you're missing a couple at home to a promoted team (players that contribute to solidity) you emphasise your attacking game so you don't miss them as much? Does this seem like bollocks to anyone? It seems logical to me. The problem though goes back to all of the stuff I was talking about in the mid part of last season, the players are coached 80% of the time on defensive shape and solidity, so when the pressure's on there's absolutely nothing going forward as a team. It's laughable how hopeless we are as an attacking unit, the default setting (when we're up against it and the team need to go back to basics) should always be to pass and move, create triangles, give the player on the ball options, keep the ball on the deck and keep possession. If we're 1-0 up and under pressure yes bring Shola on and kick it to him, our manager has failed so comprehensively to get Ba, Cisse and Ben Arfa into an attacking system that kicking it at Shola has become his attempt at winning games for fucks sake. Yesterday was a perfect example, I thought Ba and Ben Arfa had great games, both gave the West Ham defence a torrid time but they had absolutely no support from the team.

if you think thats the answer to our problems then you've mistaken. Ba did not play there for the majority of our season, we got most of our points last season from 4-4-2. ....playing badly. We were terrific in the 4-3-3 and we won games.

A word on this lad after todays game. I absolutely do not want him back here under any circumstances, he was nothing but average today, I'm mortified that our manager wants him back. -

Funnily enough this is the sort of game I was really confident in last season, Pardew got us to the point where we were picking up the points we 'should' be getting. What's changed? -
He MUST be given time to completely O' Neill them.

I'm a bit nervous about this due to the importance of this run of fixtures but I've got faith in Pardew and the team to do a professional job and get the result we need. I honestly don't care how we do it today, we just need 3 points to get us off and running. -
Really happy for him, he's turned into a very consistent premier league defender at a very young age.

From what I remember Bruce started it when they were deep in crisis as a way of explaining himself, they never got out of the crisis and he had to keep fucking writing them, I had no idea that Marty was doing it as well.

I'm prone to giving you more leeway than others HTT but that's just nonsense. Simpson should be the first person out of the team in any upgrade, you can't blame absolutely everything on Pardew, if we had Mourinho as manager Simpson would still need replacing. 'Least of our problems ' and 'barely put a foot wrong' for gods sake, it's been a while since I've seen a post so obviously mired in agenda driven nonsense.

Shearer "at least they were having shots this week"

We weren't even that good. Decent enough and deserved the win but we were very much there for the taking. Exactly, you were really ordinary and they did they're usual Alamo act.

getting praise in the commentary during the game and on 5Live, all i saw was the same old shit with a couple of wasted chances thrown in.

We used the Carroll money so i don't see why not We did? On who? Cisse and Anita? Santon, Cabaye etc etc not to mention i doubt we would have been able to afford to give Tiote, Krul, Coloccini etc etc those bumper contracts without the 35m. While Ba and Marveaux where free transfers again i doubt we could afford the wages without the 35m. you do realise there are other revenue streams than players sales?

Waiting till 3 for a game today is shit, bored as owt at work.

Don't underestimate the difference Krul makes.
