  1. if we're just going on height Roux looks bigger to be honest
  2. alan smith should not be getting a fucking game at all this season
  3. it's what i've been saying for ages mate, ashley's utterly obsessed with getting a 'deal'. he's like fucking del boy trotter, it's not spending money he's got a problem with, it's paying what things are actually worth. he's a billionaire, i bet the tight cunt goes into the apple store and haggles to get a tenner taken off an iMac
  4. from a bit of dennis wise scouting roux looks good like. there's all sorts of different goals there, 1 on 1's, shots from distance, bits of skill to make a yard, finishes with left and right (the one for france on his left is a particularly good finish) and looks to run off the shoulder. buy him please.
  5. was it not also said he would only go to a "top club"? Last I checked QPR were not a top club so what?
  6. guthrie's s****, 2 have spent 95% of their nufc careers injured and the other one's got a horrible injury record. no, they couldnt. for the reasons above.as well as ben arfa being a flair attacking player who doesnt exactly get stuck in and defend. guthrie being shite, marveaux being an attacking player with a horrible injury record, and gosling being? what? what is gosling?
  7. Undoubtedly. and what reasonable explanation can be given for this being the case? I think we need a striker and a quality left back far more than we need Barton. and the explanation that we need to give him away for free in order to bring those players in is? I was just answering the question whether if Barton's sale allowed us to bring Cissokho and Maiga in would I be happy. I assume the money saved would allow us to offer the extra needed to clinch the deals. that's fair enough, i was just asking in what world this should be acceptable.

  9. there's two sides to that coin, i also go into every match knowing he'll give 100% and more often than not perform solidly, keep his head and wind up the other team (with a few recent exceptions) say what you like about the arsenal incident but i'd sooner have someone in the team who cares enough to pick a cheat up off the floor by his neck than someone who's willing to let it go. You might say that, but at the time of it happening I just thought, f***ing hell Joey your going to get sent off here. Luckily for him Gervinho decided to bitch slap him. and that's fair enough. i wonder who you'd rather line up against on a saturday afternoon though? barton or obertan? I have not seen much of Obertan to judge either way mate. Saying that though, you get the cretins like Karl Henry, who want nothing better than to buckle Barton, so it will take that kind of attention away. i've probably seen obertan play ten times and can conclusively state i'd much rather play against him, it's a much easier days work. i'm not sure why taking that attention away is good? wins us tons of free kicks, which we're in dire need of at the moment given the state of our strikers.

  13. Maybe true, fact still stands that Ashley is paying the debt down. Yep. At least we know the reason why Ashley hasn't invested more money into the squad after selling Carroll. He's taking his money back basically. and the sooner the better

  15. Why is this even being debated. This is true of every single footballer??? Who gives a f***. We are giving away a first team player for free a year early for no reason whatsoever. Wake up man. I totally agree we shouldn't be giving him away for free, that's not what i was saying. But at the end of the day, for all the time he has been available, only QPR have popped in to show any interest? I think it proves Joey isn't as wonderful as he thinks he is. right, this is another pile of shite that needs to be addressed. the worth of a player to nufc is NOT DEPENDENT ON WHO ELSE COMES IN FOR THE PLAYER. it's dependent on his importance to the team he plays for currently, that would be newcastle united.
  16. Why is this even being debated. This is true of every single footballer??? Who gives a fuck. We are giving away a first team player for free a year early for no reason whatsoever. Wake up man. it's the way small minded folk justify to themselves that everything is rosy at our club no matter who leaves, it's mind-numbingly predictable.
  17. we should have renewed his contract here in the first place and it wouldnt have come to this. it's fairly obvious he would've agreed to a reasonable deal as he's settled here and likes the club, the problem is that reasonable for mike ashley is 'take a pay cut, i dont care how important to the team you are'. he'd easily be able to play at this level for another 3 years imo, wo are we hoping takes his place now btw? gosling? pathetic. i'm sick of this club being ran like a poundstretchers branch for fucks sake. we're forcing out one of our best players and meanwhile we STILL haven't strengthened in the positions we've needed to address for months, bumbling around trying to save every penny we can while the team is just left to cope. stop being such clueless twats. pay what players are worth, renew contracts of players that are important to the squad. dont just gamble on cheap stuff that might work out man. we're better than this, fuck off ashley.
  18. I wouldn't be worried if he did, he's been distinctly average for quite a few games now and his free kicks are crap. Do you think that maybe part of the reason he's been arguably below par (not sure I agree but it's certainly debatable) is because of the way this club's idiot hierarchy have treated him? That perhaps morale is more of a problem than the ability which he showed for large parts of last year? I don't know, was morale a problem for his first 3 years here? What most people seem to forget is that he's been here for 4 years and been good for about half a season. I think he can be a good player when he's really fired up, he can also do idiotic things. Like I said I'd prefer to keep him as a squad player, but he's not a player I'd be gutted to see go. I'd still be disappointed if he did go and we didn't replace him though. I personally think he is a big part of why we have 4 points on the board already. He has worth beyond his "free kicks", he's a leader on the pitch whatever anyone thinks of his behavior past and present and a lot of the players in our team respond to him. That he has done stupid things in the past and not provided value commensurate to what we paid for him in fees and wages is obvious. That he today is worth a lot more than being pushed out the door to bloody QPR is also obvious IMHO. good post. he's only been good for the last year is a pathetic argument for wanting rid of him, if the form was the other way around i could see the logic, otherwise it's idiotic. we simply should not be forcing a first team player out of the club. especially not one who consistently performs well, gives 100%, has a very good recent fitness record, inspires the team and fans and has been important to our good start to the season. oh but we have to pay him wages to play football? ok, give him away and make another team in the league stronger in the process. fucking stupid cunts man.
  19. just heard a snippet of his post match interview 'it was a good cup tie, we created enough chances to win it, and fair play to Brighton, they played their part in it' start the game with 8 midfielders, finish with 4 attackers, still cant score. fucking clueless. i'm actually getting a bit worried he's close to the sack.
  20. Joey will get up to some excellent trolling in a blog like. It's a shame he'll be reducing so many journalists to part time hours on full time pay though.
  21. good news, looking forward to seeing him play. gotta be jonas rested imo.
  22. sounds about right. think tiote should be playing, and cabaye too because they need game time together. rest colo for williamson. play Ba and Vuckic. keep raylor in for more game time at LB.
  23. if we'd only we'd had some sort of recent cash windfall in order to capitalise on the opportunity that a truly class player wanted to join the club
  24. i hope they do and quickly, and the champions league. the sooner that lot achieve their objectives, get bored and fuck off, the better.
  25. Can't see him leaving this season. Next summer will be an entirely different matter, however. Both him and Jonas will be gone next summer. it's likely. chances of us replacing them properly? i'd say about 30%
