  1. skirge give it a rest man, your attempts to demonise anyone who leaves the club (or looks like they might be leaving) are childish at best
  2. So why isn't the replacement already here? because that would mean paying the wages of two left backs for a couple of weeks?
  3. enrique being gone doesnt drastically change the likelihood of getting points imo, it'll be won and lost in midfield imo
  4. makes it all the more exciting to see what our starting line up is, considering our first 11 haven't played a single minute together

my guess is out of the pool of average strikers (everyone except Ba) he's the easiest one to get rid of, for the exact same reason we brought him in, potential.
  6. This is the biggest load of crap any of you will read today. I thought it was pretty near the mark. The Shola hatred is over the top from some quarters. He's not good enough to start but he has scored important goals for us in the past. As a back up option he is ok imo. It's pretty much spot on. Similar levels of striker include people like James Beattie and Cameron Jerome, who don't have obvious weaknesses and look more capable, but never give defences the problems that Shola does. The paradox with Shola is that although he's not great at bringing the ball under control, when he does get the ball between his feet, he's useful. With his strength, his quick feet and those long legs which can nick the ball away from defenders at the last second, he can create chances for himself and others. People just get angry with him for the clumsy moments. Oh shut the fuck up, man. The 'clumsy moments' happen everytime the ball goes near him in 5 out of 6 games he plays. let's not forget that he still doesnt know the off side rule or how to challenge a defender in the air without fouling them

  10. Villa will always have a special place in our heart after that memorable day. none of the days you lot got relegated particularly stick in my memory like, much of a muchness
  11. i imagine the usual suspects will find that comforting

  13. take with a pinch of salt and apply the 'fans usually play down the ability of a player who leaves the club' factor.
  14. It does if half our Police force is IN London. IS half our police force in London? I don't get this. I would think Newcastle to be the last city to send reinforcements to London, location-wise. We probably were, but they couldn't get 10,000 Police officers whilst leaving Northumbria alone! but does that mean we're left with too few to look after a football match? i doubt it Well I don't know man! I'm just saying why it's in doubt/could be cancelled. i know! i'm just saying why it's likely to still be on

  17. no way this will be called off, Premier League will want as many games as possible to go ahead and there's NOTHING to stop a game in Newcastle going ahead
  18. can we call them all off?
