  1. if pardew's happy with marveuax and obertan on the right he's a bloody idiot How much have you seen of Marveaux to come to the conclusion he wouldn't be good enough to replace Barton in the starting 11? none, his injury record over rules any form Yet he's played more games than Barton since he signed for us in 2007, which makes your logic terrible. yet he's coming back from a recent injury and hasnt been fit enough to be on the bench yet, whereas joey's played an effective role in both of our fixtures so far THIS SEASON. it's also worth pointing out that barton's injuries with us have often been as a result of challenges such as the 5 months out after cattermole, and a broken foot. Marveuax clearly has muscle problems, hamstring, groin etc You're completely changing your stance here after I've pointed out Marveaux's appearances have been better than Barton's, he was on the bench vs Sunderland too btw. The fact is both have had injury problems over the last few years so your point about one replacing the other because of his injury record is void, so it then comes down to ability and you've admitted you've seen nothing of him to pass judgement on him as a player, in fact looking at it like that I'm not even sure you have a point at all. it's a fact that both have had injury problems, but its not a fact that my point about one replacing the other is void, that's pure arrogance on your part. i'm not changing my stance, i'm applying context. you're suggesting that when comparing the two marveaux's bad injury record is cancelled out by bartons, that's fair enough. but the context is barton currently being fit enough for first team duty while marveuax isnt, and marveuax's injury problems being muscle related and also very recent (while barton's been fit for a good while now) while barton's have mostly been as a result of challenges and broken bones. it's not as simple as you're making out. and if pardew thinks it is, he's a bloody idiot.

can we get one of these on the main page!?
  10. Isn't it though? Clubs certainly get criticised when they sell players for less than they paid. Making money is how we can put the club in a better position financially, and hopefully afford to spend more on the right players. Ian man! We've made A LOT of money recently and we're still haggling over a million here or there for a left back! Yeah, but as I've said before that has to be understood against 10 years of large losses and quite a lot of debt. Anyway, pointless debate as it's been had a million times

  12. there's a couple of lads who play for NOFC who could do a better job than Smith tonight
  13. Nolan's lack of contribution in midfield made an already hellish player, far worse. YES!!! A West Ham man says ... sorry mate, put michael essien next to alan smith and he'll still be alan f***ing smith, he's absolutely useless I hear you, and I'm not saying he will be brilliant, I'm just saying it will be serviceable enought to allow us to get a result. Really unfritunate that he hasn't been moved on, as he is getting in the way of younger more talented players getting a game. i'm not gonna argue it might get a result, i'd rather play vuckic or medhi though and i think we'd still have as much chance. tiote should be playing tonight to get him sharper imo. having alan smith match fit helps no-one, if tiote got injured/banned then cabaye could play his role. we dont need alan smith anywhere near the pitch this season. There is no way Vukic and Abeid should be responsible for the middle of the park against the likes of Scunny. It could knock their development if anything. Whatever you think about Smith, if Tiote or Cabaye are not playing, he need to be there to do the dirty stuff. did you miss the bit where i said tiote should be playing? and no he shouldnt, he shouldnt be there to do anything, because he cant do anything positive for a football team, giving away free kicks is not positive.
  14. Jonny, as it stands we wont spend £1 on a striker

i reckon we should all get pardew wigs, get suited up and record our own press conference reply. get a competition going for the best one, might make a few more people realise how ridiculous it is that some folk believe the shit that comes out of his mouth.
  16. after three games for liverpool? jesus, not a great advert for nufc like

it's pretty depressing that there's so much spin coming out of st james's these days we can all predict more or less what they're going to feed us next. and even worse that the stuff we make up is very believable. put simply it's because these lot are one trick ponies, we know their game. horrible.
  18. we all know nolan's not gonna change but i think he'll score enough goals to keep them happy. unfortunately for him in a footballing sense he's gone to them on the back of a very good goal scoring season, whereas when he came to us he wasnt scoring a lot, therefore their expectations of him are much higher than ours were.

  21. Maybe true, fact still stands that Ashley is paying the debt down. Yep. At least we know the reason why Ashley hasn't invested more money into the squad after selling Carroll. He's taking his money back basically. and the sooner the better I assume that you mean the sooner the better because then we could be sold? absolutely - or perhaps we can start, you know, trying to do well on the pitch.
  22. nolan was holding smith back i've fucking heard it all now
  23. He was in and out of Rangers team last season, played awful a few times i saw him. saw him play against our reserves and as well as being the best player on the pitch he got booked for pushing the ref, perfect replacement for joey
