the hilton? have you ever stayed in one? i think he could probably afford nicer tbh
-
did you notice the guy in the studio asked about what criteria the owners had set for a manager, and he responded by talking about who the fans want? not a clue man
-
haha, quality, this whole piece just re-inforces my belief that they know f***.all
-
Who would you be happy with? Well obviously someone like Lippi however i may be unrealistic i just dont see the point in sacking Sam and replacing him with people who are not better. depends how you define better, considering the sacking seems to be down to style of play
-
ohhhh, so you dont KNOW, you just think you know, thats ok then
-
what?

Not necessarily. Whether Redknapp or Hughes are considered of the 'blown socks off' standard depends on how highly they are rated by the board, whom at the moment have a very questionable level of football knowledge. nah sorry i'm not having that, if it turns out to be one of them he was lying Really, if Redknapp or Hughes are appointed, it means that the board thinks he was the best possible man for the job, and therefore given what must therefore be assumed to be limited football knowledge, Mort's socks blew off when he received the call touting whoever. Another absolutely correct observation, ignored by those who form a different "opinion" based on nothing other than seeing what they want to see. Well you are ignoring things as well, such as Oliver describing the agents client as being a "top manager", and also one who didnt have morts number. It may of been viable that Oliver may belive that Hughes and Redknapp are top managers, and they may of "knocked the boards socks off" but it isnt under any circumstances viable that the representatives of Hughes or Redknap wont have Morts number especially given the links between redknapp and ashley

starting to get the feeling that the press have been thrown a massive curveball somewhere SSN saying Redknapps the 'red hot favourite', saying the links between him and newcastle refuse to go away (because of you lot, aye) Chron saying Hughes with no real substance Biggest mover in betting is Keegan, haha, aye no-one knows what the f***'s going on haha, oliver "the people at sky sports know more than i do" - no shit
-
SSN blatantly made up this british only thing, or someone mis-understood or something, i've not seen one quote to back it up
-
totally agree
-
His contact probably asked him to keep schtum. Either that or he just made it up. keep schtum on the telly when we DONT have a manager, but its alright to print in the paper when we DO?
-
i'd be interested to hear any wild philisophical musings to explain why, when put in front of the SSN news cameras, Oliver isnt repeating his 'top manager contact' story any takers?

Its gonna be him man, believe not the first time i've posted this but what the hell, he's already said himself he'll never take a job in england, a few months ago, i watched the interview
-
well oliver's on SSN today saying its a '50/50 race between redknapp and mark hughes' hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
-
sorry but why would Moyes come to Newcastle ... ? That is insane ... i was saying it in a light hearted manner sorry its quite difficult to tell in this thread ... with all the pressures that come with the newcastle job it is difficult to see anyone wanting to take it ... poisoned chalice go away
-
anyone think ashleys recent 'holiday' could have some bearing on this?
-
if they're not gonna be foreign the best we can hope for is bobby robson
-
'not looking for a foreign coach' SSN SHIT
-
nice? NICE? nigh on the greatest day of my life is what it would be
-
ungh, fucks sake i'm guessing either 1) they've got someone with big bollocks lined up 2) he cant be arsed with the stick 3) there's been some severe disagreement over transfers good luck sam, it could've been great
-
yeah i thought he said that too, but then i had the idea that maybe he just wanted to say it because it rhymes
-
not hanging around with the youth recruitment then, nice one
-
yeah could mean anything, namely that he's off somewhere else, but my optimistic side is saying that hopefully our interest was registered first and the fact that he's not in the squad tonight could be quite telling
