I'm not baffled at the price, it's Egghead paying way over the top to try to avoid a repeat of last season's near miss (courtesy of nil points deduction). Spurs have made their final offer, £12.5m + 1 player nearly out of contract + 1 player on a seasons long loan. It's now up to Bent and Charlton. If Bent says I'm not going to Upton Park (which is what his agent is saying) will Charlton accept the Spurs bid? If not, will Bent take the risk of winding u in the Championship?
