I still can't stop giggling when I think of the match
  2. Quite a balanced and fair assessment. Some funny errors too. Ba's headed goal and Defoe's viscous strike. That was almost biased in our favour, to be honest. The hand ball at the end of that was very much a case of ball to hand imo.
  3. Time for a thread title change perhaps?
  4. Raylor was pretty good today, within his limitations of course. But his set pieces seem to be twice as good as they were before somehow.
  5. Same. I'm still getting the shakes I mean, when he came on, his first few touches were predictable. Then he did the backheel. After that? He was amazing! He was beating people, making passes, then that fucking goal? I... I'm dumbfounded. I'm fucking...there isn't even a word for how wide my eyes are, man. Incredible. Fucking hell. Is this how girls feel when they orgasm?
  6. Yeah :/ Would prefer Best to stay on for my fantasy prem team but he's been awful today.
  7. Regardless of where he plays currently, didn't he start at RW before being moved to RB? and only played LB because Inter had no one else there?
  8. He's probably looked sensational because its something your team desperately needed. He's nothing special. No he's looked sensational because he's played sensational (besides we have Sandro so wasn't a position we desperately needed). Honestly KD, there's no point. Everyone here has the blinkers on. as is saying parkers been sensational. only saw the north london derby and he was good, a long way from sensational and also wasn't pressured. He's also a long way from being 's****' which seems to be what everyone thinks. Christ, if you say Parker had a good game in here now and get shot down. Been like that ever since he left. It's tiresome. to be fair to many saying that he did play a lot of very ordinary stuff at west ham that was lauded in the press. could it be a reaction to that ? he's certainly not a player that has me thinking "s***, they've got scott parker" Mate you say "a lot of very ordinary stuff" but ask any Weest Ham fan who have actually watched him every game of the season and they'd tell you he was immense for them last season. And tbh people rarely get intimidated by the oppositions defensive minded players no matter how good they are. It's the creative players that get people scared not the defensive ones (i'm not nearly as scared of Tiote as i am a player like Ba or Jonas even though i think he's far more talented). Yet. Wait till he breaks you just like he did Arsenal.
  9. From his point of view, he'd probably be better off letting his contract run down. I kind of like him as a player and I'm not entirely convinced that Gosling is any better.
  10. Not sure why they've bothered to invite Malaysia over, the gap between them is so large it isn't going to do either team any good. Saw a moving ad that said something on the lines of: "Australia vs Malaysia - World Class Soccer coming to Canberra!" <______<

    Dan Gosling

Hmmm.... close one but I'd still prefer Perch like.
  12. Well, it's mostly the fact that Del Bosque sets up Spain more defensively than Barcelona rather than just "lack of Messi". He plays Iniesta on the wing instead of an out-and-out forward, and uses Xavi and Alonso as the midfield pair. Both operate from deep, and have a more advanced midfielder at their clubs as partners, namely Özil and Iniesta. It's a Lampard/Gerrard kind of situation really, they should bench the lesser Xavi (still a great player mind) but the Madrid media would go apeshit... We have already won both darn cups, I think we can afford to take some risks and give some entertainment. Casillas S. Ramos Piqué Puyol Training Cone Busquets Xavi Iniesta Silva Torres Villa All fun and giggles. Look at that man, its fucking disgusting Am I the only one who only noticed that after it had been quoted

    Alan Pardew

Some of that has to be attributed to us being massively lucky, though (dodgy ref decisions in our favour, etc). Pardew was basically playing the same system Hughton had setup when he took over in any case and only started changing it this season, so Hughton does deserve a little more credit for handing Pardew a team that was basically good enough to take care of itself. Also I think Enrique would have stayed if Hughton stayed. Why? The twits he posted after Hughton's sacking + gut feeling.
