My understanding is that you could buy someone any time, just cant register them until the window opens? As far as I'm aware, if we wanted, and the other club agreed, we could probably have them over training with us until January. Don't think many people have conceded defeat. I think in general, with our unbeaten streak, Spurs not doing badly at the moment, and my general pessimistic nature, we're due a defeat. Very good point. Also don't understand the point of 'Pardew wouldn't have been appointed if he wasn't casino buddies with Ashley and Llambias'. It's not like Hughton was a much more calculated appointment. FWIW, I don't think there's much between the two of them.
