  1. I remember seeing this kid play for Coventry on telly once and he looked the absolute dogs bollocks. Maybe that was a one off but if he can play like that all the time then you've got a real player on your hands.
  2. Smacks to me of Sir Whisky Nose wanting to get one over on Wenger after missing out on Ramsey.
  3. They've still never been a title threat at the end of the day though. And all on a net spend bigger than any other manager since he came here. Long live the rafalution.
  4. Just seen Pompey have signed Quincy Owusu-Abieye on loan as well
  5. Yup. He brought in Phil Thompson, and Rafa Sammy Lee, and with that being what was left of the Boot Room, there's your reason why it closed, too. Souness is the one who f***ed it all up, of course. Practically destroyed a dynasty. Like the f***ing Scorpion King from the Mummy, him. How long do you think Benny will last? I think he'll be off in the summer, unfortunately. Juve might not wait that long, but I'm sure he'll have several offers, and I think he's just about had enough of Hicks and Gillett. "unfortunately" Benitez hasn't half done a job on you lot, turning his own shortcomings into a stick to beat the Americans with.
  6. McLeish really wasn't joking when he said he wouldn't be signing superstars, was he?
  7. By my reckoning he's had 2 good games, 1 bad one and 1 ok performance. I'd keep him as long as the price was reasonable. Shit game tonight. Dirty team as well, Sunderland. ref was far too lenient.

    Man City

I'm fucking made up they've got knocked out. Scruffy manc twats. Never won fuck all, never will. Shite.
  9. pmsl. Please let Liverpool sign Benjani. That would make my day.
  10. He still looks like Martin Keown shagged a chimp though. There's always that.
  11. Fox began at Everton. Buying another released academy player back?
  12. and im not sure him and nolan in the same squad would be a good idea after their last encounter No, I'd guess not. Fucking horrendous that tackle. Anyway, Anichebe scored in a behind closed doors game the other day but is still way off fitness. Vaughan is someone we can't afford to lose and even if we do loan him out for some stupid reason then I think it will be back to Derby rather than a new club.
  13. At least he doesn't have to play for Sunderland.
  14. I think Benitez is rubbish in the transfer market but you have to give him credit re: Torres. At £20m it was a definite risk since, despite the hype, he'd never been that prolific even in Spain. So him coming to a more physical league and doing way better than he ever did for Atletico was a gamble that paid off. I voted for Pompey btw. Ashley has done a bad job and played a big part in you going down but at least he stabilised the finances which weren't looking too clever. Portsmouth might not even exist soon.
  15. Everton probably nicked them all of city No. Which ones have they stolen then? Nearly all football chants are used by other clubs with different words. Never felt more like singing the blues (Everton & Liverpool changed for City & United) The babys not yours (from Gerrard to Rooney) Fuck off to Norway, the citys all ours (Norway changed to somewhere else) I know loads have the same tune as the last two but not the same words. I just find it weird that they've suddenly co-opted 3 songs from the same set of fans.
  16. Everton probably nicked them all of city No.
  17. Have City got any songs of their own? Nearly everything in this game has been an Everton song with the words changed. Dickheads.
  18. He's seriously bad isn't he? Apart from Lehmann has Wenger signed ANY decent keepers in his entire reign?
  19. They can stop it. It's not right though imo. Happened to us with Naughton in the summer.
  20. I guess to follow the trend of "tough" men singing love songs to support their clubs (ala Liverpool, ManCity, etc...). They've been singing it for donkeys years.
  21. Neville is playing RB, he's a decent full back and will probably keep his place there since Fellaini is undoubtedly the #1 defensive midfield choice now. Heitinga is crap anywhere but centre half as well imo. Seeing Distin play yesterday made me realise that signing Senderos is worth it, even if he only plays short term to get that useless wanker out of the side til Jags is back.
  22. That's just it though. I don't see him getting a run in the team apart from in the short term. He's nowhere near as good as Jags when he's back from injury, Heitinga is a class act at centre half, is our highest paid player and becoming a real fan favourite while Yobo is our most senior player and the vice-captain.
  23. I've never rated him personally. Especially since I vividly remember James Beattie absolutely raping him at Goodison a few years ago.
