Hleb is a really good player. End product isn't the best (needs coaching to shoot more often in particular) but everything else is spot on. He was actually just hitting his best form when he left Arsenal & fucked his career up, he sould have known he wouldn't play every week at Barca. I'd love to see him at Everton. Him with Arteta, Pienaar & Fellaini would just be sex.

Senderos on loan til the end of the season & Jan Mucha (Slovakia #1 wooooo) to join in the summer. Both done. Underwhelming. That's the way we like our transfers.
-
I hope they get him. Absolute shit.

Collison should probably be thinking "If I become world class and win loads of trophies at big clubs then I might get paid shitloads even when I'm an old bastard like Ruud" He'll be a walking motivational poster tbh.

Be interesting to see how Kilgallon does. There's also Smalling at Fulham who looks promising and came straight from non-league. The only thing that would worry me about this signing is that Pompey have dropped Mokoena back into defence at times instead of playing this lad. I suppose that could just be Paul Hart being s*** though. He hasn't played because £1m of his fee is based on appearances and Portsmouth can't afford to pay any of it (apparently they can't even afford to pay the rest of the initial fee they offered for him which is due in the next couple of months, according to Watford fans anyway). Makes more sense than Mokoena being better than him.

Yeah. I'm made up I won't have to watch him applaud decent balls over the top that he couldn't be arsed moving for anymore. Then doing a stupid little thumbs up thing to the midfielder who is probably thinking what a twat he is.

lots on SMB seem to agree. also they cant need a cover for the fifth choice? strange signing. Taylor and Colo are both better than any centre backs that The Mackams have to offer Mensah is better imo but a sicknote. Taylor has all the attributes to be a good Prem defender but has been prone to the odd clanger in the past. Coloccini was woeful last season most times I saw him.

If they give big wages for someone like RVN to come and score the goals that keep them up then it's worth it. Especially since they will be getting rid of a lot of Eggy's daft signings asap to cut the overall wage bill.

Eh, how? Wasn't he on loan to Everton in the first place? They must have sent him back because he's s***. Got in trouble with Moyes didn't he? (s*** aswell though). Correct on both counts. Won't be missed.

fwiw he looked poor whenever I saw him for Man Utd & Blackburn. I rememeber him getting dragged off at half time against us at Old Trafford after Pienaar went past him at will for 45mins. You'll need better if/when you get promoted. You've got by with Hibbert? Fair point. I think Hibbo, for all his failings, is a more solid defender than Simpson though.

Probably not but who cares? They're in the final. Love seeing a good pitch invasion.

Neville Southall wannabe.

What odds did you get? Never seen that on the match coupon tbh. Ref to be a homer 2/5 Ref to be a Sky 4 arse licker 1/10 Ref to award Sky 4 team a penalty 5/2 Ref to send off non-Sky 4 player 4/1
-
I'd rather City carried on their long wait for a final
-
I'm not sure it has. If they'd spent half decent money on a proper replacement for Ronaldo and the team was still struggling like they are now then I think you could say that it was proven. As it is, they bought Valencia. I wouldn't have exactly been overjoyed or anything if we'd bought him ffs.

Seemed that way to me too. Can't agree about Rooney though, he was great the last 20 minutes, but scored 0 to Tevez' 2, can't beat that. Tevez ran himself ragged and would be my second pick for MOTM but I thought Rooney's overall performance was better, goals or no goals.
-
Me neither. The Sun should just be banned in general though, so well done I say.
-
Was it just me or was the ref blatantly biased towards City for 90mins? Aside from the pen, loads of clear fouls on United players were not given and Bellamy could have been booked about 3 times I thought Rooney was fantastic. Clear MOTM, not Tevez. Owen was surprisingly good as well apart from his tame shot that Onouha cleared. Linked up play and combined with Rooney well. United suddenly had a threat after that sub.

About a loan? Or have they raised £10m from phoning Ocean Finance? I couldn't understand all the rumours about a loan... how is that in Sunderlands interests whatsoever?
-
I think they will turn West Ham around. They ran Birmingham very well from a business point of view (even though their mongy fans somehow turned on them despite the fact they'd probably still be playing in front of less than 10k in the lower leagues without them). Still a pair of wideboy cunts mind.

Joleon Lescott, Curly Watts, The Gallagher Bros, Frank Sidebottom, scruffs off Shameless, Ricky Hatton, Freddy Flintoff, Mark & Lard... your boys took one hell of a beating. What a game yesterday

The whole thing is completely bizarre. Have you heard the stories about Saha being available too? I still don't understand why you're not stronger, financially I mean. The long and the short of it is that Kenwright doesn't have the money, and he's painfully said this time and again. It is depressing seeing sides like Villa, City and Spurs, teams we realistically are (ok, not right at the moment) competing with, get ahead of us by simply having more money. I've heard of rumours, and I prey it is just that. Truthfully, I think he'll stay. It's not just that Kenwright doesn't have massive personal wealth though, that's a bit of a cop out. It's more to do with the piss poor way he runs the club from a business point of view. Our debt has spiralled under Kenwright despite zero investment in the team or stadium.

Apparently Rafa doesn't relate well to his players, has been the same since he joined (a lot was made about it when Gerrard nearly left and the fickle Liverpool fans started burning Gerrard shirts) Fella I know who is a good lad and doesn't bullshit was in a bar about a year ago when Carragher was openly slagging Benitez.
