Fabregash, do you think Traore is going to play more? I like him. Back to third choice i imagine behind Clichy and Gibbs, unfortunately, defensively he isn't that good compared to the other two. I'd like to see him stuck more to the wing he played very well there last season for Pompey and i think he may go out on loan again in January if Gibbs and Clichy stay on schedule. I've only just noticed this. No idea why Village Idiot likes Traore tbh. Last saturday was one of the worst performances I've ever seen by a Premiership full back and I've watched John O'Kane, Mitch Ward, Tony Thomas & Sandro Pistone in person. I don't think Ash will disagree that the lad cannot defend.

Better than Coloccini was in the Premiership. I'm pissed off we've let him go for a pittance when he was starting to build up a good partnership with Heitinga.
-
It's centre backs we haven't got, you gonk. Neill hasn't even been playing right back. Pathetic transfer deal though.
-
SSN web site saying that Brian Laws is set to be announced Manager I've never known a manager to get sacked in the lower leagues and then a week later turn up in the top flight. Crazy.
-
Pathetic if true. What a mess we're in. £800k for a player you signed on a free and who is out of contract in the summer isn't bad. Selling one of only 2 fit centre halfs purely for a quick return is bad. £800k is fuck all anyway. What will that do? Pay the wages for a week?

Moyes has overall has done well buying/signing players from the Football League has he not been linked with buying any players off the top team in the CCC? Ledley was linked a lot last season but not much recently. He also tried to buy Naughton in the summer but he would rather be the mighty Alan Hutton's boot cleaner and we had a bid accepted for Ramsey but he chose Arsenal (that ones fair enough). Lately Kilgallon has been linked with signing on a free in the summer.
-
That's alright for Blackburn. They take less than that to Goodison every year while we take 6-8k to their place.
-
Ledley is a decent player and still quite young despite having tons of league games under his belt. I think a lot of clubs will be after him on a free in the summer, probably including us.

I swear to god, I want to smash the ever living crap out of Fellaini in that picture. In any case, arent you already packed on defenders? This is the second comment on that picture. We've got a lot of centre backs but Yobo has gone drastically backwards, Distin is s*** and Lucas Neill is out of contract in the summer. So that leaves Heitinga who I like and Jagielka who has been crocked for about 9 months. I wouldn't mind seeing us shift Yobo and/or Distin in the summer and snapping up Killgallon. Sorry, its just that it pisses me off. In any case, Im surprised, was expecting Lucas Neill to do well for you. Neill has been just ok, if he stays it will just be as a utility player/squad man.
-
More than £5m? IIRC Liverpool couldn't afford the £15m+ asking price last year. I don't see you spending that kind of money on one player if you come up.

Something like: "I like Jon Carew he's triffic. He holds the ball up well, he's triffic in the air and he's got a triffic eye for goal. Anyone would want him in their squad. But he's an Aston Villa player ain't he......... " Down to a tee. That would be a crap deal for Villa btw.
-
The Echo today says we want him on a free in the summer.
-
Anyone that answered "No" really hasn't thought about the bigger picture at all. Bolton have a wage bill believed to be around 4 times bigger than Burnleys. It was reported that Burnleys top earners are on £12k a week and that Coyle was struggling to match the wages of transfer targets..... from the Championship. There is far more scope at Bolton for him to achieve things and take another step up the managerial ladder in future.

because Bill Kenwright is the biggest idiot to ever run a football club. Despite spending next to nothing on players and not a penny on the stadium for decades our debt has spiralled. All his luvvies in the press won't tell you that though.
-
Yeah, because if it happens it's obviously because he WANTS to lose his best striker. Nothing to do with us having literally no money to spend and tons of debt. so you sell to your biggest rivals and risk relegation? If saha is for sale, there would be more then Liverpool interested. He can walk for nout in the summer. Still shouldn't sell him to their biggest rivals. Why would you want to help them further in their champions league pursuit. Plus Everton can still get relegated so why risk it? There is zero chance of us going down I agree with you that we shouldn't sell him, especially to them, but blaming Moyes for the situation we're in is daft. Plus, it's only a rumour at the moment.

Rumours of Saha to the red shite
-
Funny, I could have sworn he's been shit and that his partnership with Yobo is like the Chuckle Bros on ice.
-
He looks mustard Seriously though, I wouldn't even want to loan him out personally. I'd be starting him instead of Hibbert but Moyes has his favourites. And with Neville fit again he will definitely be wedged into the team somewhere, possibly right back ahead of Hibbert, since Fellaini is looking brilliant in the defensive midfield role at the minute. If that's the case then we might let him go out somewhere. It would probably be a great move for his development but you'd have no chance of buying him so might not want to do it?
-
Papers were talking up Bardsley for England 2 month ago, that lasted didnt it Really? I think my head would have exploded if I'd seen that in the paper He's a poor mans Tony Hibbert. Seriously, he's that crap.

What? how is it Harry Redknapp's fault? he left West Ham f***ing donkey's years ago plus they had bags of talented players come through the ranks who were sold for massive figures like both Ferdinands, Joe Cole etc. There are loads of clubs with money problems, some worse than others, but ultimately the financial responsibilities end with the board/chairman. They are the ones signing off the deals so you can't blame a manager if they say "sign me X" and the chairman does but on silly money. It's well known that Redknapp left West Ham in a right mess with all sorts of average players on sky high wages. He's done the same at Portsmouth too. Obviously the boards of both clubs played a part in it by allowing him to do whatever he wanted with the wage bill but he's still an irresponsible saggy faced t***. Expect him to be all over SSN with crocodile tears when Pompey go bust.

Tony Adams, third time lucky

Exactly. Irvine also showed them a lot of loyalty turning down WBA in the summer which is a bigger job with an actual transfer budget, bigger fanbase etc
