Yeah it would be ridiculous. The northern league would have Man Utd, Liverpool, Everton, City, Rangers & Celtic. Plus other clubs with potential to challenge in the future like yourselves, Sheff Wed, Leeds... The southern league would have Chelsea, Arsenal & Spurs. The only one with any potential to do something besides those three is West Ham. (no idea where to put Villa btw, probably lumped in the southern league to try and even it up)

I thought the idea was that there would effectively be a rebadged Championship (EPL2) below the current Premiership (EPL1) I hadn't thought about a north/south split. That would be even worse.

Good ol' 'Arry fucked his career up.

The Ibrahimovic/Eto'o deal is possibly the worst in history on Barca's part

Yakubu, Fellaini, and the Russian have cost at least 35 million British pounds sterling by themselves. He's had funds. Net spend is about £4m a year iirc. I think over the last couple of years we've broke roughly even. He's had fuck all funds from our awful board.

Good signing. Always looked pretty solid, if unspectacular, when I've seen him. Should be one of the better defenders in the Championship.
-
Supposed to be going to Smogsville.
-
I remember him looking good the season they got promoted. From what I've seen of both I'd rather have him than Colocinni.

I assume it was a non-alcoholic drink he was having. Joey Barton + Alcohol = Trouble! No idea. Could have been a soft drink, could have been a mixer. Wasn't in the same part as him for long but he seemed pretty quiet tbf.

Joey Barton having a drink with his mates in Heebie Jeebies, Saturday night.

Countless bust-ups at Watford, one apparently where he punched Aidy Boothroyd. Even if he is being a t*** etc. you don't punch your boss man. I'll raise you him starting on Dean Windass at a team-bonding exercise. And also being banned from the England vs Jamaica friendly (pre-WC06) for breaking curfew and going on the lash (I think?) Been to prison for driving a stolen car. Was it him that was accused of assaulting a girl at a club in London not long ago as well? Seems a well rounded individual.

I agree. Didn't he come on and play in that cup game against Liverpool last season? Yeah, he was very good in that game. I think Rio Ferdinand played in midfield at West Ham for a while in his early days. I'm sure eventually Rodwell will move back and be a ball-playing centre half of similar type.
-
Since he was about 6 or something. That's his proper position but Moyes is playing him as a defensive midfielder just for the time being while he gets experience.

Playing Devils Advocate, didn't Shearer have a worse record than Kinnear? Statistically that is. You lads will know better than me whether performances were better under Shearer but he just had bad luck or whatever. Looking at it on paper though... not good. If I was a fan I think I'd want him to stay away and not risk ending up tarnishing his legend. You seem to be going well with Hughton so why not stick with him? The stability of that alone could be good for the club.

Fourth choice centre back behind Davies, Cuellar and Dunne? Who is Everton's fourth choice centre back? Or Spurs's? Jags, Distin, Yobo, Heitinga, Rodwell... Collins is a decent player imo, rather him than Dunne. West Ham fans certainly seem to like him.

I think Nugent will do well under Coyle
-
Piennar? He's not a winger. Moyes doesn't play wingers anyway though, prefers central attacking players to be put on either side of the midfield e.g. Osman, Arteta, Pienaar and now Bilyaletdinov too.

The hacking aside, I couldn't believe, as I've said, how Martinez had the cheek to claim they deserved a point at least. They offered nothing apart from destroying the game's flow. We weren't even that great in large parts and still dominated; says more about them. And breathe. They had about 10mins in the second half when they actually tried to attack. Apart from that they were second best in every department to an Everton side that is clearly lacking in form and confidence. All they did was hack our players down every 30 seconds. One of the worst football teams I've seen in years. I want whatever drugs Martinez is on. What a twat.

I'll bet you anything that he is class for us should he sign. One bad season at an utter fuck up of a club in Atletico Madrid (who have more ins and outs every season than Jenna Jameson at a gang bang) and he's suddenly crap? He was great for Ajax and has got nearly 50 caps for Holland in his mid 20's.
-
If I ever hear anyone tell me that Roberto Martinez's teams play "football the right way" or an "open attacking game" ever again I will hunt them down and kill their entire family. I haven't seen such a gang of horrible ugly bastard cheating dirty twats since Wimbledon in their prime. They got 5 bookings today and that was EXTREMELY generous from the ref who was bloody awful. I hope they go down. Cunts.

Steve Claridge's hair is ridiculous. Just accept you're going bald ffs.

More likely to look like this, I think: Howard Heitinga Jagielka Distin Baines Neville Pienaar Arteta Cahill Bilyaletdinov Yakubu

Chopra would play games though I know he is fairly young and fighting for a place but he has still only played 38 games since breaking through in 2004! He's spent literally about 2 solid years out of the game with various injuries though. The fitness problems coupled with having established players in front of him has made it impossible to give him a run of games. He looked a very exciting prospect when he first came through but his more recent appearences have been less impressive tbh. I still think he'd do well in the Championship at least though and if he gets regular games under his belt he might improve again. Couldn't ask for a more tenacious player either. Moyes supposedly rejected a few million from Stoke for Vaughan the other week so a loan could be plausible. I thought he was quality on the few times I have seen him (better than Anichebe) but he never seems to play. I have a phobia of injury prone players. Yeah, when both are on form I'd say Vaughan is better than Anichebe. He just seems to be the unluckiest player around for injuries. It's not even a recurring problem, it's always something new. I saw Curtis Davies dislocated his shoulder the other week and still played the following game... when Vaughan dislocated his it was bad enough to keep him out for 6 months.
