I'm not sure about him being our best striker like... He's our most likely striker to be fit, that's about as high praise as I can give him.

what the fuck

Getting 2m for him now would be a good deal. Man, this is unfortunate. You folks are really prepared to just throw this guy away now. I hear you Kaka, but he has been shocking - regardless of off-field circumstances. I know, but the majority of our players have been, and so it makes no sense to turn on individuals like people are now doing. The whole team does not function and hasn't at any point this season. I don't understand why because we have scraped some results people pretend otherwise. Absolutely nailed it. How fans cannot see this garbage from Bruce is beyond me. The reality is, most fans don't care about or look at the big picture. They care about a 1-0 win against Chelsea which they can gloat about at work during inane canteen banter with the resident mackems. They care about the points on the board, and not how they were gained or how false a story they tell. The only time the majority of our fans will be converted is when those results dry up and we slip down the table - then they'll pretend they were always anti-Bruce and saw it coming a mile off. Most football fans are fickle fuckwits who only care about the minute-to-minute bragging rights that support whichever narrative they think makes them look most like a Supafan at that particular moment in time... Trying to change their viewpoint is just a waste of time.

Aye, we have a midfield that struggled to boss games in the Championship.
-
Never heard of him and don't know anything about him. Name makes him sounds like a good player though.
-
a couple of hairy moments aside, I thought Chelsea were pretty poor for all the ball they had.
-
Hard not to enjoy a win against this lot like, no matter how turgid we were to watch. For all Chelsea's possession, Dubravka didn't really have that much to do mind; might've been a smash and grab, but I never felt like Chelsea were going to score either.

Most unnecessary use of goal line technology I've ever seen there.

Urgh, not 3-5-2 again.
-
Probably worth recording the IP address - and starting a sweep on his next user name I approved his account deletion this morning with the expectation that he'd probably start a new account like, which he's free to do as he hasn't actually broken any rules etc. Guessing he wants a fresh start and that might be for the best for him and the forum itself with the atmosphere of late.

Fucking hell fitness levels are shambolic.

The patter on here is absolutely lifting at the minute like lads, from both sides of the coin. We're getting very close to just permanently binning off people who constantly bicker or incite arguments, one or two have already gone that way in recent months and more will follow if it continues like this, it's grim to read and even grimmer knowing that Mike Ashley would laugh his tits off at it all if he could be arsed to read it. I've posted on this forum or its previous iterations since shortly after the turn of the millennium and this is right up there with the worst it's ever been, the fanbase has been well and truly divided and conquered but that doesn't mean there can't be some semblance of maturity in the discussions; are the lot of you fifteen years old or can you actually have a civil debate while disagreeing with each other..? We've gone through mass-bannings in the past to sort things out and, while it's a tedious and frustrating route to go down, it'll happen again if that's what it takes to sort this place out. I'm reopening this, I've deleted most of the shite from the last few pages, if I've missed anything don't bother quoting it to start another argument if you want to keep posting on here

Class, good opportunity for me to hit my monthly moderating quota that.

He'll never beat his man, but Ritchie can do this. That must be the most inaccurate statement I've ever seen. Ritchie has a few sterling qualities, but beating a man is never one of them. That's what he said Ritchie can beat a man? Is he talking about with his fists? Godzilla was saying Ritchie will never beat his man, but can cross from deep. I didn't even mention him tbf, I was on about the WHOLE team's standard of crossing into the box, this and just about every other game - SHIT Sorry, it was Stottie - not you.

That corner was a ridiculous decision like didn't look remotely like it came off Carroll. Doesn't excuse the defending afterwards though.
-
Some decent link-up play in the first half. Still doesn't ever look like scoring though.
-
Of course it was. Thought that was pretty obvious myself like

You don't need stats to see that a steve bruce team is unsustainable man everyone on here knows it is. The fact that the result suddenly correlates with those stats doesn't change the fact that this is visibly a different performance to others we've given this season though, especially in terms of defensive shape and mistakes. The debate in the Bruce thread was about the pointlessness of forcing these stats on our general fanbase on twitter. They mean nothing to the average fan while the team is picking up points, and they aren't going to change opinions.

We've never defended this badly previously like. Stats say otherwise. We’ve conceded a ton of chances in loads of games You and your fucking stats man My eyes say otherwise. Our discipline has been poor tonight and there's huge gaps. Positionally we have never been this poor this season and haven't made this many mistakes. With how deep we defend we're always going to conceed chances - as we did last season and the season before - but tonight is more akin to the Leicester game, we're wide open. You might need them tested because we’ve been conceding a ton of chances. Can only rely on Dubs having worldies for so long. "With how deep we defend we're always going to conceed chances - as we did last season and the season before" I think you need yours testing since apparently you didn't read my post... I'm not saying we don't conceed chances, I'm saying we're more wide open than normal and making daft errors, which is usually the main difference between looking tight and looking shambolic for any defense minded team. The margins are fine, tonight we've been on the wrong side of those margins consistently.

They definitely aren’t. Massively shit today. Both have been poor more often than not this season. They certainly can't play together. Don't compliment each other at all.
-
pitiful performance, especially from the midfield.
-
Wrong. Play should be stopped though for a potential head injury. Defending still shambolic nonetheless.
